Polt kills all the tech, plays 10x better than sortof and... barely wins!!! amazing times with the new patch folks. the commentary also is second to none. I see this all the time in threads - the Terran plays differently to "outplay" but its only more obvious visually. The stuff Zerg has to do to outplay with this style is not visually obvious (laying spines, passively defending, map presence, etc.)... I get so tired of reading it though its completely false. If you watch Zerg and Terran pros streaming there is no significant difference in APM's or speed, and in these games the decision making is good by both. But yet its always Terran played perfect (because you can SEE their drops) and Zerg passivity and defensive play is ignored. Sortof's drop defense could have been much better but beyond that he played really well.

I play terarn and have never ever played zerg so its kinda hard for me to judge. It looked like polt had to work much harder for that win (basically the only reason he won despite impressive play throughout was a semisneaky semilucky drop). But that might just be my terranbias as I admittedly know little of zerg mechanics. I think its in part due to terran looking more multi-tasky from a spectator perspective, whether that is actually true or not I dont know.

I don't get your point, aren't those exactly what people are referring to? ![]()

I'm done with this discussion it never goes anywhere. Terran players will always downplay Zerg pros making good moves because its not as visually obvious or bias or whatever. Really hurts the LR threads though.

Really hurts the LR threads though. you don't macro in the lategame as Z btw. Since you're caped off larvae. Real drop play is harder than anything Z has to do /w infest/blords/corru but Polt drops were a bit disappointing, not a lot of micro. Tho you can lose your main army to 2/3fungal so no one is really dropping well nowadays.
