Before the patch you had to get both HSM and energy. Generally back then, you only had time to research one at a time. Now it's easier to get the energy. Tanks zone out infestors better with the range nerfe and infested terrans can't counter tanks as easily with the hp nerf.

he had 2tech lab. Nice try tho. Sortof had the game 100% won and decided that losing all his tech to 3medivacs was cool. he had 3k/2k while polt had no money and just lost cause he had to made roaches lol.

this was such a nice example of the state of this matchup. Polt kills all the tech, plays 10x better than sortof and... barely wins!!! amazing times with the new patch folks.

the commentary also is second to none.

Yeah, Fungal patch actually made zero difference this game, as Sortof was very cautious with his Infestors (unlike many Zergs normally are), and most Infested Terrans lived past their egg stage as well except in that last hopeless attack.

Sortof didn't lose because of the patch, he lost because he didn't react to a drop for SO long. That drop wasn't even particularly well controlled (no focus on the Spire etc).

Well, he lost a pretty big engagement when SortOf was at 1-2 to Polt's 1-1, so you can't really generalize like that.

sad game, sortof played well but his reaction to the one drop was god aweful.. Took him like 2 full minutes to restart pool, he would've had time to build spire/infestation pit before the hive died as well.
