Y ok, I read a version of the rules in which NE actually take this. But maybe that is not the offical rules.

So they are all even except that Naniwa is the only one with a 2-0 victory in the 3-way tie.
Naniwa should be the one advancing.
pretty shore this is accurate and Ret know it so just relax a bit.

Ret is now obviously throwing a game that is affecting another player. This is really the worst sportsmanship I have seen in a long time. I really hope that TL takes the action here and punishes him harshly for that! IT DOESNT AFFECT NANIWA. FFS. it does, if Ret takes a map Naniwa advances... HE STILL ADVANCES dfiothfdiuid why do people keep saying this, they will be even in mapscore but Nani has better head-to-head (3-2 vs 3-3) Head to head means Naniwa vs NightEnd results which favours NightEnd, not Naniwa. IT DOESNT MATTER because ForGG is in the equation as well on THE SAME grounds, and in the threeway tie situation, Nani wins (2-0 > 2-1 / 2-1)
Let's quote this a bit more so people start to thinking straight. forGG IS ALSO TIED and you CAN'T DISCARD HIM.

There are serious repercussions when they do.

:O that was really embarrasing to watch ret act like this.

What? There is no way Nightend can go automatically through.. all 3 are 5-7, and their games went like this:
Naniwa v Nightend 1-2 Naniwa v ForGG 2-0 Nightend v ForGG 1-2

Nani 3-2 NE 3-3.
Nani is better, Nani through.

As many people tried to explain during the shitstorm, this is definitly the case. Naniwa was sure to advance since Night won one map. Ret knew that of course or he would never do that. So it's the same as Nani's probe rush, since it did not affect another player, just that ret did it with more style .

Three players tied 5-7
In a mini league between these three
Naniwa 3-2 Nightend 3-2 ForGG 2-2
ForGG out
Direct comparison between Naniwa and Nightend -> Nightend wins
Sorry, was interrupted doing this. Probably wrong.

Ret found out that he was already out of the tournament and it was either Nightend (If he wins) or Naniwa (If Ret wins) advancing. So he just mass baneling allined him without success and put down 4 hatches to make a statement for Naniwa.

This. It really seemed like both Ret and even Nightend thought the game was meaningless.

Meanwhile, Sase is revolutionising PvP.
It's that or we're going to have another shitstorm about throwing games in a few minutes.

it makes 100% sense and is the only logical conclusion
well unless you ignore internal head-to-head scores in which case it'd be a true three-way tie and we'd need regames
however, NO MATTER WHAT Nightend and ForGG can NOT advance right away, that is simply incorrect mathematically

That's pretty sound logic and I hate Naniwa.

Why is naniwa through, when he has same map score as nightend, but lost to him head to head?????

Can someone take 1 minute to explain this drama?
