I still don't understand how the tie is decided, seems to me all 3 players are 5-7 and are in 3-way tie situation.

Naniwa is through the group, it didn't matter since Nightend won 1 map Naniwa was safe and Ret knew that. So stop the shitstorm and calm down people.

If that's the case, it's incredible if they gave Ret this info and not the casters. WTF Dreamhack?

Either NightEnd is through and Ret messed up or Naniwa is through and Dreamhack messed up.

I hope in the future Dreamhack will have more strict rules, so things like this wouldn't happen. They should have some punishment for players that just throws games like this, please become a little more strict.

For Ret, no words. Funny how he said sorry to the viewers for the pause then goes fucking nuts with pure ling and banelings a-move against forcefields... So bad.

Time to retire, Ret.

this is such an unacceptable behavior i dont get it. just not him anymore just go away ret this is bm and just all in all bad

What do you want him to do? Just gg out after he drone rushed like Nani did in GSL? Yeah this is dumb but you can't blame him really... Bad admins made this happened not Ret.

its his decision to play a standard macro game for the community and the fans or to just do this ridiculous game, not the admins decided it for him.

You are right and I agree with you. I guess I change my opinion a bit but at the same time I dont think Ret understood that he is deciding Naniwa's fate by 2-0.

I feel the same about this as I did after the Naniwa incident: it's far less excusable for tournament's to use a format that forces players to play inconsequential (for their own run) games than for a player to throw a game. At least Ret had some fun with it.

Obviously it wasn't professional, but these calls for punishment or retirement are beyond absurd.

I really hope that TL takes the action here and punishes him harshly for that!

IT DOESNT AFFECT NANIWA.

FFS.

it does, if Ret takes a map Naniwa advances...

HE STILL ADVANCES dfiothfdiuid

why do people keep saying this, they will be even in mapscore but Nani has better head-to-head (3-2 vs 3-3)

Head to head means Naniwa vs NightEnd results which favours NightEnd, not Naniwa.

IT
DOESNT
MATTER

because ForGG is in the equation as well on THE SAME grounds, and in the threeway tie situation, Nani wins (2-0 > 2-1 / 2-1)

just this! If the tourney makes any sense Nani advances.

Are the games honestly that bad, and if so I'd have to think that Ret wouldn't be willing to screw Naniwa over so quickly. Lets not jump to conclusions.

So, to me it seems Ret is really throwing the game. That is very unprofessional, VERY disappointing. After Hero supposedly donating map 2 against Ret yesterday, TL really has some work cut out for them to become more professional
Sad, just sad.

i doubt hero gave that map to ret.

Watch the game, see an immortal timing with 5 units and minutes later there's 10ish sentries eaten by 24 lings.

Nightend, ForGG and Naniwa are all 5-7 in maps.

Naniwa beats ForGG 2-0
Nightend beats Naniwa 2-1
ForGG beats Nightend 2-1

So they are all even except that Naniwa is the only one with a 2-0 victory in the 3-way tie.

Naniwa should be the one advancing.

That makes no sense must be some Naniwa fan logic lol

I agree. They can't remove ForGG from the tiebreak because there wasn't another tiebreak remover. They all got tossed in the internal mapscore pot, and Nani won it.

Penalize for what? Penalize them when even the headadmins dont know who is advancing?
