The good thing about no terrans is it does give a lot of coinflippy chances to our foreigners =p

Nah, I think foreigners are genuinely outplaying their competition, regardless of the implications of mirror match ups.

Well, I do think foreigners have more trouble with Korean Ts as oppose to Ps and Zs. I think that is just due to the low numbers of top foreigner Ts. So players end up working on their vZ and vP a lot more.

Foreigners beating koreans might just save this Tournament in the west.

ZvZ not so much.

PvP is still coinflippy.

PvP statistically best matchup in the game, along with TvT.

195% better than everything else.

sc2, the game of allins, fucking joke. Might be a better story if more terrans advanced.

"oh no the player i wanted to win didn't win sc2 is a fucking joke"

and how am i hearing it from an eg supporter? Wasn't you supposed to fanboy idra atm? I neither care about this tournament, nor about sc2 itself, but rain 0-2 bk is a joke indeed.

Loving this tournament. Reminds me of the WCG days. Kudos to Titan and Babyknight. Showing that foreigners have some bite. They thought that 100k was as good as theirs... NUH UH!

Oh god, now Group E is fucked. Loser has to go against HerO PvZ to advance, winner has to play Rain PvZ.

GL Idra and Stephano, lol

HerO doesn't look so scary in PvZ these days. His mass drop tactics don't seem to do enough against a well trained zerg.

Rain though...

I vaguely want Idra to beat rain. I think it would tickle me immensely. Never going to happen.

But it would tickle me.

idra gets the bad end either way where as Stephano has a chance vs Rain and is favored against HerO

zvz is only coinflippy in the early game, after that its mostly pure skill, pvp is coinflippy almost all the time

why do you pay attention to a handful of fanboys who are being shown that their korean sc2 gods are actually mortal?

most people are really impressed from what i've read.

You should stop fast expanding in PvP then.

Or remember to FF

Yeah its kind of amazing how blind sided people are, I don't mean to be elitist or anything but fast expand is the most solid build you can do in PvP. Missing a FF has nothing to do with how good a build is.

fast expanding most solid build my ass lol, its probably the least solid build and most greedy one at that..... you only fast expand if you scout a robo......

Fast expansions can defend every single build in the current meta game on maps where blink observer is weak, It is by no means greedy as you say. Word of advice, don't scout their base in PvP (Only scout for proxies) as the information you get from a probe scout is completely irrelevant. The extra influx of minerals you get allows you to just play blindly and in conjunction this allows you to efficiently defend both early aggression and latter tech oriented all ins.The advantage you get from fast expand basically gives you free wins/advantages vs both Phoenix/Robo macro plays.

The specific version of fast expand that Rain did is basically willing to sacrifice the nexus, the timings of his units allow him to defend any sort of gateway push that dosen't over commit on killing the nexus. In the scenario that he cannot hold the nexus he simply cancels it and has a huge advantage with quicker tech as the aggressor is committing a vast amount of his resources that only correlates into forcing a nexus cancel. (FF should prevent him from outright killing you)

Not sure what league you are in but in no scenario should you ever be able to reactively fast expand after scouting a Robo considering they should never let your probe see it to begin with.
