Barely any games in the group stages I want to see, pretty much all predictable. More hanging out for the play-offs so we can see the big boys lock horns.

What's a bit annoying is that at such a big tournament the two semifinals will be played at the same time, so you basically have to choose which one to watch.

Just realized the finals start at 2 AM for me on day 2, sick, I won't be able to watch live.
Next year do it in a better location please, blizzard.
I feel bad for the guys on the east coast, this is GSL level bad broadcast times.
EU is not too screwed for the finals at least.

7. Luck of the Spanish
If there are two players who can be absolutely stoked on life about their groups and bracket, it’s the two Spaniards. Not only are they the favorites to take their respective groups, they pass on each others scraps to one another in the round of 16, virtually assuring a Spaniard in the quarterfinals. Winner of Group G takes on runner up of Group B, and visa versa. If Lucifron and Vortix both place first or place 2nd, they’ll be able to avenge each-other or continue to remind people of Spain’s power, if they place 1st 2nd, then fratricide will occur in the round of 16, which is always thrilling. Best of all, this gives us a fantastic shot of a terran making the RO8. Which reminds me….
1. Wings of Liberty Champion
Years from now, when WoL is but a distant memory, people will be debating who was the champion of wings of liberty. There'll be outsiders, who try to convince you that MKP, or DRG was the greatest (because some people are just that awesome). There'll be a grizzled, rambling old man named Fionn who will say it was Polt. But, for the most part, it'll come down to two people. MVP, and the winner of this tournament. MVP will likely still be the stronger argument, but lets hypothesize here. If Stephano beats the odds? The only time somebody has achieved that level of success coming from one region into a game dominated by another region, was Grubby, who is still frequently cited as the best WC3 player. Maybe he was, but between him Moon, and Sky, there's no one right answer there. If Rain wins? He won OSL, and he won WCS Asia and placed 3rd/4th at his first ever GSL, but THIS would be the defining moment in his early career. If it's not one of those two? Still, this will be the only WoL WCS. That should carry a ton of weight. If you're a fan of this game, you should probably try to find time to watch one person be crowned champion of it forever more.
The observation about Vortix and Lucifron is interesting, Both are in good form and they are both very lucky with the outcome of the group/bracket setting. They might have better chances then Stephano actually.
Stephano first have stupid hard group, then the second player of that group will go up against the winner of Rains group. Which will be Rain almost 100%. So first the group is retarded hard and then getting second place is actually really bad on top of that.

Well it is actually not that bad. Sure you will miss top 16 bracket but if you go up kind of early you should be able to see everything from the quarterfinal and forward from there.
Like better then most EU viewers that watches NA tournaments. Sure we can see all the group plays but once the big matches start the clock is usually around 3 am and then the final start around 05.30. Good luck watching that ^^

Maybe you could add to the group of death the prize distribution and the fact that there is no loser's bracket here so the player who loses the first match (Stephano vs Hero and Roro vs Idra) is very likely to be out in ro32 or ro16 (because of Rain), which means ~1% of the prize pool...

I don't understand how most of these are considered upsets... Most of them are completely possible... MaFia, IdrA, and TitaN are the only ones I would consider upsets... (Socke too, but PvPs aren't upsets, they're stupid... @_@)
