I don't understand how most of these are considered upsets... Most of them are completely possible... MaFia, IdrA, and TitaN are the only ones I would consider upsets... (Socke too, but PvPs aren't upsets, they're stupid... @_@) After the last meeting between Nerchio and Creator I would consider that an upset http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/GIGABYTE_NVIDIA_Invitational_1 Creator 3-0d him pretty convincingly

US company makes it hard to watch for their own country.. standard?
What does holding the tournament in China, which has one of the smallest SC 2 player bases out of the different regions, tell you about Blizzard's priorities?

4 terrans?
|
IdrA's strength mostly lies in his ZvT, and there are no Terrans in this group.
I would like to point out, for the record, that this is not true. His ZvT is good, but historically, IdrA's strongest matchup is actually ZvZ. And, while he may not advance out of his group, I find it highly unlikely that he will be eliminated without taking a single map. Look at all of his recent tournaments. You can count on 1 hand the number of times he loses a series without at least taking a map. People underrate him because he hasn't won any major tournaments in 2012, but he is still quite skilled. His ZvZ is much better than Stephano's, and might be just as good as RorO's. I don't know if he can beat HerO or not, but that'll be an interesting series to watch. People rip on his ZvP, but he's improved it a lot over the course of 2012.
For the record: I like IdrA, but I'm no mindless fanboy. I'm just tired of people acting like he completely sucks just because he hasn't won anything huge in the last year. He has done well, he just hasn't managed 1st place.

idra is still good, but i say even taking a game off these 3 players in his group is an upset, it may happen, sure, but it still is an upset for him to not go 0-4, mainly because stephano and roro have insanely good ZvZ, and idra is weak in zvp, per usual.

Those times are horrible for Europe, guess I won't be seeing any of this >< Although the lack of Terrans doesn't get me excited in the first place..
