That was incredibly close and well played by both sides, each abusing their race as much as they could (that warp prism/stalker harass was ridic). I agree that most PvZ's suck, but what exactly was wrong with that game? Because it wasn't close. Rain did cool shit yeah, but theres no way he could kill DRG's lategame army so the whole lategame was pointless anyway. Except it was incredibly close, and the commitment to harass is what left him with no way to kill DRG's lategame army. Seriously, 99% of zergs in that position just crumble and die to the warp prism/army pressure. Coming out of that with a 'best possible' maxed army was incredible.
If Rain keeps it up and transitions into carrier/templar/mothership, he would have played a flawless game. Losing steam is what lost him the game, as he ended up being forced to engage with an inferior army. That was a decision, not balance/design.

If you think things like number of workers, bases, etc. are the final say in who wins a game you need to think about the game in a more fluid way. This is like in chess when a player sacrifices all of his pieces except the two or three that deliver checkmate to achieve his aggressive goal. Much like in Hero vs. Leenock recently - if you don't understand how the Zerg is winning (long game army quality attrition war) then maybe you should think about the game in a more complex manner.
I for one REALLY enjoyed that game. I felt like Rain played incredibly well but it just goes to show that his main aim (winning in a long game) and his methods (harassment, not army quality) may be a lost case. I wonder when Protoss will start doing what top zergs are (turtling, making sacrifices and crafting a perfect army that one shots anything)... maybe in HOTS with Tempest? GG
This. Well said.

When the engagement actually happened, it wasn't too surprising on who would actually win that fight. Rain could have had that, it was 2 bases to 1.. surprisingly not patient enough. Not patient enough? Are you kidding?
As in, he was patient the entire game until that engagement where his Archons were out of position and he only got 1 in the Vortex. He had just finished denying DRG's base again, and also was about to take another base of his own top left. Was so close to squeezing him out, but I guess thought his advantage army-wise was bigger than it was.

Mass carriers/ht have the best chance at beating infestor/bl straight up. Not that it's easy though. Yes make Carriers vs 30 infestors. You need both, people like you who want to tell me they don't care too much about balance are laughable. In the end you'll be the first one to cry for proper balance the moment you think something is unfair. Diablo 3 is a nice case, "make the game fun, who gives a fuck about balance?" "OH GOD NERF BARBS!!".

Hey guys let's all jump on this bandwagon, "whaa BL infestor OP protoss UP waaaaa" instead of considering of the maps/current metagame atm

That's because the balance of the game is worse than 2 years ago, obviously.
Is there a Korean stream? If so link please.

Warping in like 20 zealots and some dts into the main to me is as retarded as infestors... I can agree with that to an extent. I've never liked the idea of a 1 drop shit doom drop or removing any form of defenders advantage, but at the moment I'd say infestors are more broken. If a race has that many spells, it shouldn't be on one unit.

This brings me back to 2011, all the whining in this thread :D
Difference is this time its about zergs and no one is getting banned lol

Yes but none knows how to transition in to them or how to fully use them yet. That's the big problem with lategame PvZ right now.

Infestors would rip carriers apart. Not only then pin carriers in place with fungal and drop infested terran to kill, they also fungal the interceptors.
