There were, but they were all from Rain and he lost. :/

It's so funny, it's the same nonsense every time. Zerg has only 1 composition that can win against Protoss deathball, Zerg builds the composition. It's the most immobile army in the game, so Zerg has to basically give up defending his expos against persistent WP harass, and just build a deathball and push. Same thing Curious had to do against MC on this map, same thing Leenock had to do. But everyone says, OMG Protoss outplayed so hard still lost. LOL. Because it's so difficult to warp in units from a couple of warp prisms against the most immobile army in the game.

I for one REALLY enjoyed that game. I felt like Rain played incredibly well but it just goes to show that his main aim (winning in a long game) and his methods (harassment, not army quality) may be a lost case. I wonder when Protoss will start doing what top zergs are (turtling, making sacrifices and crafting a perfect army that one shots anything)... maybe in HOTS with Tempest? GG there is no PERFECT army for the other races vs the broodlord infestor
There was, and it included Ghosts. Look how Blizzard handled that?

World class game design here, folks.

When the engagement actually happened, it wasn't too surprising on who would actually win that fight. Rain could have had that, it was 2 bases to 1.. surprisingly not patient enough. Not patient enough? Are you kidding?
Why did he try attacking that center base? Arguably that started the cascade when he needed more shit to hold his mining bases.
Arguably.
I don't know how you deal with all those infestors. Speed prism magic carpetting templar to feedback en masse?

The difference is that when toss builds up it has a lot more vulnerabilities and failscade situations. These zerg builds are resilient.

No Fungal on the interceptors and then remax on corruptors.
The solution is to magically get a 3-3-3 all void carrier army while choking the zerg econ so they cant remax on only corruptors while also having storm and a mothership because you cant win without storm AND a 3-3-3 max air army.

Protoss turtling along with Zerg? That's suicide. Only way to win is with a well-placed Vortex or if the Zerg fucks up to the millionth power.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. Stop complaining about how horrible moletrap is and watch the commentators you were meant to hear. it doesnt work for some reason :/
it takes a few tries

Toss QQ when Zerg is hard to beat late game, but call Terran bitches when they complain about TvP late game?

No. Rain invested everything he had into harass and small meddlings to keep DRG down so DRG knew that Rain had no money for such an expensive transition. If Rain had played passively, DRG would have (likely) been ready for carriers.

.. :x Say that with a straight face, also please state where he outplayed lol. haha these guys who say "protoss tears" are so funny, its spectators tears! rain was harassing everywhere, denied the 5th base forever and had his 5th up. drg was never harassing except some lings in the early lategame and drg just wins with amove gglords. how exactly was he supposed to harass. it was 3 base vs 3 base and he still nearly died. if you want to get to bl/infestor you have to put all your resources into surviving until you get the tech, and if you dont go bl/infestor quickly you die to delayed timings.
DRG lost hive, spawning pool, greate spire, roach warren, infestation pit evo chamber two hatcheries and 6 infestors to 10zealot 2dt haras, before he decided to bring 4 bl to clean it up.
So bad
|
I wish nanashin still restreamed OGN.
|
I hope HOTS isn't this bad. >_< In a balanced game, the person with more resources, better harassment, and relatively equal tech levels should win. Rain should just 2-3 base allin every game now.

What? Rains 3base attack getting stopped? Rains Warp Prism harass when it would have been needed doing asbolutly nothing. Then he does a huge warp in and kills dead bases, means he doesn't do a lot apart from trading unit ressource for building ressources. Losing expensive units like archons and stalkers and templar left and right, trying to pick of a few spines...
