Well Mana went for a dt/wp counter-play that - can - work if the Zerg messes up. It's one of those things that works against worse opponents, so I can see it working well on ladder for Mana. But really Bly won that game by spreading his overlords around the map, as could have any Zerg.

Bly hunted for those dt's alot better then most zergs, he got ahead with all that gas Mana lost in dt's, to simply say any zerg could do that is being rather unfair, Bly played that out very well and had the game won from there.

I didn't mean to discredit Bly, rather I wanted to point out that Mana based his play on his opponent messing up, which is always a huge temptation for a player, especially when Mana would've been fairly behind had he just attempted to passively take a 3rd.

28k viewers just on one stream is pretty decent, considering there are no big shots on this tournament...

Mana is pretty dead without having done a real mistake. Have to play pretty on stop against those Mutas.

This is so dumb, and painfull to watch. The game ended at 10 min mark, because of blind muta rush vs no stargate play.
Rush muta, don't make roach warren, don't make lings, don't make spines...

He took a big risk and it paid off..>_>

mana took a risk too.
he didn't build 4 cannons this game, despite having even LESS information. On Cloud kingdom, bly hid drones from a probe. On daybreak, mana never even got into the natural to check if there were drones or not. 2 base all in would kill him.

Eh you can kinda hold with 2 cannons and chronoed sentries. Problem with that is your tech is delayed and you scout Z sooo late, just like in this last game.

Z should open fast gas more, even if they just go into a macro game. Sooo annoying to play against.

I saw the second cannon, but was he chronoing sentries? I'm not convinced that 2 cannons is enough, especially when you have only one gateway.

Blys style looks super strong. If other zerg adopt this style Protoss will face even harder times very soon.

you just can maybe scout the gas and no 3rd.
I know how Mana felt in these games.

if he would not have build the canons he would have bit into his ass if the all in comes. while Bly sees the canons and go macro, knowing is far ahead... so sad.
fraer faced the same problem against bly, he was just a worse player then Mana is

This style is nothing new. Sleep has used this style for a very long time.

Don't even try to argue this point. Roach timings ZvP were invented by Stephano, turtling to 200/200 Infestor Broodlord is Dimaga's style, and Naniwa invented the Gateway expand PvZ.

Getting defensive over the truth that 28k viewers for a prize pool this large is quite disappointing?

I am not defensive, since I don't have anything to defend. 30k vievers is quite the normal number for some time. You just make things up out of thin air, because of the recent complaining trend, so you won't feel that alone in your cellar.

Nerchio dropped 4 maps during the tournament and lost one series (a ZvP against fraer). Starnan dropped 8 maps and lost two series (two PvZs against SortOf and Targa).

Yes it is. DH usually gets at least twice this. Imo it's because there aren't many (any?) star players in it.

cool undeserved win.

The winner of a game always deserves it as long as there´s no cheating involved. Don´t blame the winner because someone lost. If you lose, it´s 100% your own fault and nothing else.

that would be the case in a perfectly balanced game. thats all i say about PvZ lategame

They went 1-1 lategame so it's ok. Third was domination so I don't see anything "undeserved" (at MWY) with it.

Even if something might be imbalanced, it´s not impossible for you to win. You just need a lot more skill then your enemy in these kind of situations. If you can´t do that, it´s still your fault. The player is responsible for their result, not the game or anyone else.

To my mind, blaming someone else for your losses is simply a horrible mindset because it stops your progress of improving. First of all, you need to look at what you did wrong and fix that. That´s what you have influence on. Blizzard won´t change the game for you and your enemy won´t stop to abuse certain things because he/she wants to win.

Yep but the gap is far too great. As P you have to play far better than the Z, as T you have to play far better than the P. (Talking bout mid to lategame ofc). And thats just fucking sad. I didn't even say that it was bly's fault, he seems like a really nice guy, still it is undeserved. And it can't be your fault if your only able to play 50% better than your opponent instead of a 100%, therefore losing.
Thats the games fault.
