Using the expanions as a decoy to get his army up on the 3 bases. Note that HerO never had a chance to attack his 3 main bases cause he was so distracted by what Leenock was constantly doing at other places on the map.

Leenock picked that map because he's just got insane control and decisions in late game fights, I've seen him do this in dozens of games. He also picks that map vs. Terran for the same reason.
Protoss player does lots of great harassment all game and then plays HORRIBLY in major engagement and loses... this happens in EVERY matchup dudes. u mad?

Ridiculous At least 4 times. So it all depends on vortex from 1 unique unit. Nice design Blizzard. Hero units are so good, lets make hero thor :D :/ I am so saddened by what I currently see in HotS (I know hero thor isn't in it anymore btw and am update just making a comment about their initial thoughts) but 97% of the threads I read regarding changes and units with abilities all sounds like something from a MOBA game haha.

I hope this is fixed in HoTS, not a balance whine, but end-game PvZ is always resolving around that 1 vortex. You can get outplayed whole game and in the end it comes down to that vortex again, on both sides.
before they even thought about PvZ and new units in HoTS, this problem should have been a priority.

But still, this is the reason why I was pissed when the mothership was announced to be in this game in the first place (or any other "hero unit"). The whole reason why PvZ lategame is retarded is because the mothership is the most god awful unit ever. The whole dynamic around vortex is just dumb, and I think pretty much everyone agrees with that. I was super disappointed when they decided to keep the mothership (and vortex) in HotS.
I'm aware Protoss can't do anything else to counter broodlord/infestor, but the whole point is that with the mothership out, another way would emerge either trough metagame changes or balance changes. Keep in mind that Zerg actually can't do anything else lategame than go broodlord/infestor either because everything else is completely worthless against the "deathball".
Could make it harder to get Broordlord/Infestor.
It seems too easy these days to just mass spines and sit there.

Or from another point of view, leenock makes an insane comeback through awesome unit control and decision making. Fuck the negativity in this community, god damn. SC2 is shit because there's no way for comebacks. SC2 is shit because there are comebacks.

Only real mistake from Hero was not going for the base trade. He had the bases and the economy to abuse Leenock's immobile Brood/Infestor.
Still, loosing a game after such massive lead must be painful. Hero fighting!

This game was so sad to watch. Leenock got outplayed / out maneuvered all game. At some points he looked silly moving all his army in 1 control group for 1 drop.
Doesn't matter if zerg can't get their 4th base as long as they turtle long enough to get their infestor blood deathball.
I would be raging so hard if I was Hero.
Btw im a terran player

protoss player way ahead, lets his mothership get neuraled, gets three quarters his army vortexed and insta loses protoss players "zerg op :3" Scarlett dropping madddddd truth. Scarlett is so right haha She admits the matchup is a joke... both ways around. At least this is the way i see the post.

Antiga Shipyard needs to be scrapped from the map pool, not enough room to maneuver around that Zerg deathball and kill it. Not to mention, Mothership vs Neural Parasite is stupid.

PvT is 1: Not broken and 2: Doesn't hinge on a single gimmicky ability.

I play zerg, but fuck, no one should win when he is outplayed that hard ;/

this is why i quit playing sc2 as protoss; pvz matchup lategame is stupid, pvp more colosus wins and dont die to 4 gate, pvt switch between storm and colosus and deflect all drops. PvT is the most skillful match but terran so strong in that matchup anyway with its ridiculous mobility; protoss needs sensor towers to stop those giant doomdrops. uninstall til HotS

Hero could have just walked in and killed Leenock long before BLs we're out, so that's on him. He had ample opportunity to just smash him, but he sat back and teched. Bad call.

Been saying that PvZ is a joke for a long time.

I haven't played Random in like six months, so I don't know how PvZ matchup should play out, but I'd have to say that Hero gave up the game by not doing more multi attacks to try and destroy important buildings in Leenocks base. No whine from me.

I've been saying that for a long time. I just don't like the map positionally, especially center expansions.

Yep. People also seem to forget that Leenock is one of the very top tier Zergs, if not THE one. Such a beautiful execution in the end. This doesn't happen very often, not at this top GSL level especially.
Oh well, the "I'm done with SC2" whiners are a joy to watch, not just today but also tomorrow when they're back.

All of you disregard it because he lost bases. Sure, losing bases sucks, but the fact remains that he had 6 secure gas the entire game and got the composition he needed to win.

protoss player way ahead, lets his mothership get neuraled, gets three quarters his army vortexed and insta loses protoss players "zerg op :3" It wasn't an insta lose either though. HerO had ample opportunity to win that even after the vortex but instead just sat in a corner while not rebuilding any tech structures. It's like he mentally collapsed the moment the vortex hit. He had nothing to destroy such a high BL/Infestor count... He had a bank and blink stalkers vs a slow Broodfestor army. The base racers dream. Oh and a Mothership, which has a nifty retreat ability called mass recall o_O You mean moving Spines which can safely hide beneath your BL army?

If he wanted to get a fourth so badly, he definitely would NOT chosen this map. He practised it a lot for sure.
