He won the last GSL, he was also the favourite to win this one. He was also predicted to get out of this group with the highest %.
Hope that clears that up.

The late game army is boring and too easy to win with if you're not stupid about controlling your infestors. How about early and mid game? zerg has absolutely no options in early game. Protoss win most of the early and mid games. Get the big picture plz. This is just straight up false. Protoss wins early/midgame if they all in. There's a difference. Protoss's allins are completely different from terran and zerg because of the warpgate. Terran and zerg has no good success rate for allins, protoss does.
Except the last good PvZ all-in(immortal-sentry) has been figured out mostly. It still works from time to time, but if you re-engage constantly as Zerg or even engage closer to Protoss base, you do pretty well. Alternatively, you can base trade. Also, if all-ins are our only reliable option to win, there is a problem.

Maybe Symbol drove a stake through Seed's heart after the first game? Or someone ordered Garlic Pizza?

Rofl, ElephantBaby. YOu are SOOOOO wrong here. Protoss and Terran all ins require micro and precise timings. Zerg all ins in TvZ require absolutely no micro and come at any time (hey roach bane I'm talking to you)

Zerg needing more bases is the biggest mith of all times, lost count of games I've seen zergs winning with less bases and way less bank once they reach the right army composition.
In the second game, Seed didn't rebuild his templar archives and fleet beacon so he couldn't get storm/feedback for infestors nor mothership for broodlords. While, Symbol kept rebuilding key tech structures after he lost them, which he did, several times even.

Thomas Kilian @Khaldor First thing @LGIMSeed does after losing his Code S match is walking over to Symbols booth and congratulating him. What a boss, GG! #GSL
I guess while everyone here is argueing with eachother, Seed is being gracious in defeat and probably moving on without being too worried about the loss.

Symbol is Lumen. Making Dexter-Toss weak.

Seed is the jjakji of protoss. He got his 1 GSL but the future belongs to Creator, Squirtle, Hero and whichever Kespa protoss emerge from the pack.

Interesting results... I would have never guessed that with this season stacked with past champions that there would be a max of 1 in the ro8... mvp is the last hope of past champions to get into ro8

So your point is...................? I'm saying protoss doesn't have an advantage early/midgame. If anything, protoss is the weakest race early game. (hence addition of mothership core.) Protoss midgame is weak until that ONE moment when they push out for a 3 base timing. If protoss wins early/midgame it's because they set it up to win the game at that point. = ALL IN

I see a fuck load of toss' bitching about late game pvz, but hey remember you got late game pvt to compensate where you can just 1-a and scratch balls.
See we can all QQ

Timing attacks are good options too.
And in that 3rd game, protoss had worse econ, and it was a lategame, of course he will lose. If he has good econ, he will win, it is not army combination, it is economy. It is a surprise he even get to the lategame.
