A tip. EMP counters most protoss compositions. Good unit to make in that MU, with the whole shields/life thing. There shouldn't be a lategame situation where you dont have ghosts imo.

Also, armor upgrade for viking wont help them live longer, especially if the protoss is upgrading correctly


Armor upgrade for vikings will help them survive one more shot. 7,xxxxx (8 shots) compared to 8,xxxxxx (9 shots). Even if its not much, it certainly helps. If you have a bank like DemusliM you should get every little bit that helps.

Also I agree, Ghosts are very good and deal a lot of damage. There are some situations where fewer ghosts and more marine/marauder does help though. I prefer the mass ghost style nonetheless.



Ahh, i get cha. I guess at the point it will depend on how many stalkers you have. I guess then the discussion becomes, is the armor on the vikings better than the damage upgrade? I dont play terran, so idk if 2 armor upgrades would be better than 2 attack ugrades for instance.

And yea, i love ghost play, ghosts get better and better as you get the skill to use them. But im not a fan of early ghost usage, i think those quick 2 base ghost pushes are death against standard colo opening.


It will only help if you have +3 armor I think. With +3 armor its (8,9xxxxx) so with +2 it might still be 8,1 or the likes of it. Attack upgrades are a lot more important as vikings are shooting 2 rockets so you are right about first getting attack. I am talking about the very lategame though !

That's what I said before. Zerg only needs one army. Yet if you don't harass like this, they remake this one super army in a matter of seconds.

Well that's the thing though, isn't it? Whenever Protoss players say they can't engage BL/Infestor, Zerg players tell them to do harassment. Well, Hero's harassment was about as effective as it could be. The issue is that you can still never really engage that BL/Infestor ball, so you can never actually win. Kinda just makes the lategame boring, no matter who wins.

The trouble was it was TOO effective. It forced Suppy to just give up on all his bases and all in with his broodlord army and it couldn't be stopped due to Hero's units being all over the place.

I was waiting for someone to point this out. Four warp prisms of harrass, plus units warped in with them to harrass, is a lot of supply away from your main army meaning Suppy had to know HerO didn't have enough to deal with his army.

You can kill as many drones as you want. You have no idea how this game works right? You can remake drones and losing warp prisms with 1 or 2 HT's is not cheap. Get a grip

Every harrass is an investment.

You harrassing and your opponent defending properly is not outplaying.


Also harrassing with 3 warpprisms against BL/infestor is way easier then defending it, so you are expected to do damage, but it's not outplaying.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

no it was not nearly as effective as it could of been. After trying trying trying and trying he did get damage done but if u spend zealots and high temps all game then 20 minutes later kill one hatch and 20 drones it doesnt mean it was effective...

Lose every single templar without killing infestors. Best strategy. If he hadn't wasted so many templar killing the least important part of Suppy's gameplan, he would have won the last engagement by feedbacking the 10+ infestors that Suppy had.

Drones are almost like SCV's later in the game. Their best use isn't for mining, rather they are best as spines and spores. You really only need gas and 2 bases of mineral saturation after brood lords come to build up bank and turtle up with the best (almost unbeatable) defensive composition. That's only about 40 or 50 drones. If you listened to the cast at all, Khaldor states that Suppy has over 100 drones at one point. What's the point in killing 60+ drones if he doesn't really need them anymore?

Pro tips
1)warping in from a warp prism and doing damage vs a slow late game compositions economy is marginally skilled.
2) Killing harvesters in the late game when your opponent has almost rounded out their ultimate army doesn't mean much if you don't have the gumption to deal with the army.


Yesterday I saw puma lose to nightend in game one where nightend lost his first stalker, lost like 8 stalkers to a drop that they should prevent, a twilight council thus delayed ups and a delayed fourth. Then Nightend got to win because puma had to micro verse nightends 1a.

It happens.

again, his harassment was good in the late game, when suppy already HAD an army that hero couldnt deal with, what good is eco harassment when that's not the main issue? hero's harassment in the early game were basically all for nothing, he lost at least 10 zealots (i count at least 6 at the 4th) and didnt do any damage. effective harassment in different parts of the game isn't all the same.
