Cheese him out Sase! I can't believe you typed that out and still didn't see the problem with your reasoning.
I can't believe you read that post and didn't see the sarcasm.

I feel like complaining about our stupid language with so many useless words (let's not even start with the grammar), but actually it's kinda cool that we have so many ways to express ourselves .

Haha. I wanted to be careful not to whine about balance. To state it more clearly, I believe that a Terran who can control Ghosts and Viking unbelievably can completely neuter a Protoss without the Protoss being able to do anything. This is because of snipe range, viking range, and emp range.

Maybe you should assemble a 32 man round robin stage and see how that works out. Or do you not understand the point of a tournament format? Round Robin Groups of 4 with Top 2 advancing is a fairer system than GSL because a player in a GSL group can advance more easily if their opponent happened to be less formidable due to the luck of the draw. It is nonsensical to suggest otherwise. It is debatable as round-robin system leaves teams/players with matches to play without any hope to advance. The end result is a lot of 'cannot-be-bothered' performances and in extreme cases outright match-fixing. No system is ideal.
I didn't say it was ideal. I said it was fairer.
GSL could quite easily have 8 Round Robin Groups of 4 players. Top 2 qualify. Then they can have more Groups of 4 or go into a straight KO format.
The so called meaningless matches can be rendered meaningful by having financial incentives to wins/placing or ranking in the group.
Under current GSL you have someone like Supernova advancing without having to play the strongest player in the Group, MC even once, whereas Ganzi got eliminated after having to face MC twice! It's massively flawed.
Anyway, I've said my piece on this issue, and will stop now.

If the protoss micro's his HT well, the ghost will never be able to snipe / emp them.

I agree, and in a bad protoss micro vs bad terran micro game, P wins big. Even in a pretty good micro battle, a P a move can win. But when T micros perfectly (Taeja, Puma, MKP) I just can't watch without being frustrated.

Fairness is not the point of a tournament format.
*said for the 100th time*
Furthermore your hypothetical situation isn't fair anyway. If Coca got stuck with Nestea and Dongraegu, his advancement depends on the strength of a single matchup (his weakest to boot). Why shouldn't he have the right to face everybody in order to prove himself worthy of advancement?

Terrans can micro as perfectly as they want, if you micro your HT's (= keep them in the back of your army, spreaded out), then there is no micro that can save the terran imo.
