No, it means one player is worse at the match-up than the other. It certainly means that one player is better at the match-up, though, if that is what you mean.

Most uninteresting match-up atm. It's always been unstable, but the no-rush games these days are just making it agonizing.

And yesterday Vortix got flak by some for going "all in", which in this case meant attacking before brood lords. It appears that many want every game to follow the same narrative.

well... you can do soemthing about the no-rush part...

zerg has a very effective economical 7 pool vs forge expands and is decently even against gateway first expands. while protoss has some great timings vs the standard roach warren build timing zergs use. if you go gateway> nexus> core> forge and chronoboost the upgrades decently well, you can attack a zerg at 7:10 with 6-7 +1 zealots, while getting +2 and blink. it even stops a 6pool.

there's a lot of timings that neither zerg nor protoss have bothered to figure out, which can be quite strong. that +1 zealot timing is almost a 100% third kill if the zerg's playing the standard, while the economical 7pool can force any forge fast expand to be turned into a 2-3 gateway expand.
Standard.

or zerg gets 17 broodlords vortex'd and they get obliterated by archons.

or more commonly not, and the toss helplessly dies

I see it happen a lot more then it doesn't when it gets to that lategame. More commonly not the game doesn't happen to get to lategame.

Not sure if this is the place to say/ask, but does the video intro lag/not even play for anybody else?

All day yesterday and today they comment on how cool it is, but the stream simply freezes then they are in the game...

As a Terran, can someone please explain to me one thing about PvZ.

Does the protoss have to hit before broodlords to stand a chance. It looks like a real mess to me.

i've seen protosses play a defensive late game style where they aim for mothership/templar/archon/blink stalker/carrier etc composition, and just play insanely defensive forever trying to lose less money in units than the zerg and then eventually win a big fight with their 200/200 and kill the zerg. or starve the zerg.

and sometimes you get protosses play like Hero and harass with speed-prims all over the map and abuse the immobility of broods. thats always super fun to watch.

I love Hero's style that he kind of popularised with JYP but I really haven't seen much of that style in a very long while. Not sure if it's Zergs being more efficient in their builds or if the new maps aren't as conducive to that style. Last one where lategame Warp Prisms played a big part than I can recall was when Ace made it back to Code S for this season. Sick game

If more games were like that, PvZ would actually be good

Do you disagree with it? Basically everyone is saying that the match-up is either boring or unstable, or both.

I really don't see how can judge a matchup on a single match that on top was played very far from perfect by both players so far.

There are some 2 base timing windows and the 3 base timing window you just saw to kill a zerg teching to brood lords. After that it turns into a massive turtle fest with motherships/recalls/vortexes (my personal favorite is bum-rushing bases with my mothership at home and just recalling when Z tries to counter).

Sounds like a pretty lame matchup

I hate it almost as much as PvP, which is part of the reason I've stopped playing for the most part. I play on NA, and I don't get very many PvTs... (Which I think is the most dynamic matchup with P in it)

PvZ does not have to be boring though, it's that Naniwa plays a very timing-oriented style which either works or doesn't. (i.e. a lot of his attacks are more all-in) Someone like Squirtle has a lot of strong late-game warpgate harassment and that sort of thing, which is hard to deal with for any zerg that's inexperienced with it.
Well, now I tell you, I never seen good come o' goodness yet. Him as strikes first is my fancy; dead men don't bite; them's my views--amen, so be it.

The only thing that actually lags out for me are the ads, could be worse I guess!
