It's impossible to make a code S argument when Naniwa was not playing like a code S player. In nearly all of the games, he had major supply blocks. If he played like a code S player then maybe he could have taken the series but he did not bring his A game and deserved to lose.

Even in the single game that Naniwa took he made it difficult on himself by losing his initial push without taking down the third. It was a push without conviction and it showed by allowing Johnny to get his corruptors out to fend off that scary push. Naniwa played hesistantly throughout the entire series, macroed quite poorly in most of the games and ended up losing the series.

A shocking result but not really when looking at the quality of Naniwa's play.

The fanboy tears are pretty sweet.

I like Nani and his PvP and PvT are sick good but to put it simply, the guys quite clearly on tilt.

I can't believe someone is trying to defend Nani with 'His mechanics are so much better, JRecco is so bad' when not 2 days ago he got Supply Blocked at 18 versus SortOf. The guys lost in the match-up (I feel his pain, I'm fucking terrible at it, effing Infestors) and the fanboys here are trying to disregard every result where he loses as 'OMG SC2 BAD GAME OTHERWISE NANI WOULD HAVE WON' 'OMG NANI SICK MECHANICS JRECCO NOOB SC2 WHAT A JOKE LOL!!!!' etc. etc.

Nah, he's just bad at a match-up. Shit JYP went 0-20 vs Terran. I'm sure he wasn't that bad at PvT but constantly losing made him feel worse at it and so he'd panic or make the wrong move. Shit happens.

80% of Starcraft at the highest level is mental. If you're on tilt you'll probably lose.

edit: Forgot to put a big fat LOL at the dude crying about cross-server when Nani is in Sweden. Best post of the year.

That guy was obviously sarcastic.

naniwa is the most overrated foreigner. he think hes praciticng so hard in korea compared to other foreigners but yet he cant seem to show any good games outside of code s, a tourny where he has weeks to prepare for his opponent. i remember during wcs uk, naniwa was on twitter talking shit on johnyreco and ziktomini. lol, now look whats happened to him. dude needs to focus on his game and not running his mouth.

I just need JRecco to beat Major and my two least favourite players of this tourney will be knocked out by the same guy.

If he does I'll buy the guy a pint :-) Will be tough though.

I'm not a Naniwa fanboy, I just don't like heavily overrated kids like JonnyRecco. People act like he's the next big thing just because he beat Naniwa, who's bad versus Zerg, which is why he lost to equally overrated SortOf. His play was nothing remarkable...he plays just like any other non Ret or Stephano Zerg would against Protoss. Again, Naniwa is just bad against Zerg and that's all there is to it.

Recco might be overrated, maybe not, but don't come and tell me SortOf hasn't been playing great lately, what the hell lol

Why do you dislike major or nani? they are the two most entertaining players...along with Idra.

I like players who BM a lot because it shows personality. What is an e'sport' without shit talking? Nothing. You see trash talk in physical sports all the time, so why do sc2 players not do it.

That is why I love watching Idra, nani, or major games... they make the game fun to watch. I want to eventually see offensive "GG, Get Good" and stuff like that in MLG's or other premier tournaments...

But back on topic, too many naniwa hating jonnyrecco overrating people here. I thought these threads were supposed to be about discussing the TSL4 ro32 Day2 games, then random kids come in here and bash on bad guy naniwa and worship the almighty jonnyrecco to no end.

There's a difference between personality/some trash talking and being a whiny little brat. IdrA and Nani are the latter.

And having that type of GG in a game at MLG would be terrible for this as an esport. There's a reason that major sports organizations give out significant fines for poor sportsmanship; a certain level of professionalism is expected from the players.
A sound mind in a sound body, is a short, but full description of a happy state in this World: he that has these two, has little more to wish for; and he that wants either of them, will be little the better for anything else.

JonnyREcco is fairly new to the scene, qualified for TSL4, joined Dignitas, and just beat Naniwa. Explain "heavily overrated" please? I think most of us are just excited a new, talented kid is on the scene.

this sums up what i was going to say pretty well. nani acted like a child because he played like trash and couldn't put the blame on himself, he's not mature enough for that. if that were to take place during a gsl, or like he said, an MLG, esports would look absolutely terrible and unprofessional.

Any specific examples I can work on? Feel free to PM me since you're banned.
