Why all the hate for the extended series?? Its fine if you ask me, especially with the new format so that there is no extended series in the final. Taeja can still afford to lose the first Bo3, and to win an extended series you still have to win four games total. MLG has been doing this since the Halo 2 days at least.

You don't have less chance to be eliminated. Alicia played less series then oz and if it wouldn't go to an extended series then both would have lost 1 series and oz still advances.

If you come from the winners bracket against someone who you haven't played against, you get a second Bo3 if you lose the first.
If you play against someone who you've already played against, you have to win 2 games in a Bo3. You don't get an additional advantage because that advantage is already better than just the winners bracket one.
