I don't think it would go to a best of 11.
If Oz wins either:
Oz goes through, which would mean that Alicia having the extended series would have been a disadvantage, as it only put Oz one game behind. If this is the case, then all the talk about extended series being fair is out of the window, as the best option would be to hope that you don't have an extended series on the person you are meeting in the finals.
OR
The bracket then resets, they play another series (whether bo7, bo5, or Bo3 I don't know) and Oz has to pull off one of the hardest comebacks, as the extended series gives an absurd advantage to the guy coming from the winners finals if he has an extended series win on the guy from loosers.

kind of weirded out about how i want to see alicia lose more than i want to see oz win, even though alicia could likely produce decent play in both pvp and pvt finals situations, and he seems like a cool enough guy anyway. i'm just kind of bitter how he managed to get far in yet another tournament despite being code C level when it comes to pvz >=(

He does. But if First beats Taeja in the first Bo3, then they play another set with extended series implemented since First beat Taeja in a Bo3.
