I am sensing a total beatdown by DRG. Against Naniwa whose weakest match-up is zerg, this isn't going to be pretty.

I don't think it was as bad as you say at release, Zerg did win the first two GSL open seasons. Mm, sure... but I would be remiss to not point out that (like I've probably said during a few times when terrans were dominating), Fruitdealer in GSL 1, and Nestea in GSL 2... were simply better than all their opponents. Fruitdealer SHOULD have lost to TOP, but after he came through that by some miracle, well, he was much better than Rainbow, that's for sure (not a diss to rainbow, just that rainbow was kind of a surprise to have even made it that far). Nestea vs MarineKing was a pretty damn close final between two good players, with Nestea having far more experience than Marineking who was pretty green still then. So yeah, it probably was really that bad honestly - you had close spawn metal and shakuras, you could get bunker or pylon blocked by 2 bunkers on every map..... It was pretty sad lol, zergs probably won mostly because not many people actually knew how to play a normal game since they spent 90% of their time cheesing. i don't know if you remember the ultralisk bug that gave them an absurd splash radius, but that was pretty much what won it for FD over TOP 2 ultralisks could kill like 6 thors Ahh, I remember when Roaches were ranged 3, Medievacs were slightly faster, Hatcheries had less health. Everything but the Ultralisk glitch was against Zerg. Fruitdealer playing the way he did that season with such fantastic innovation is something I will forever remember. what about 1 drop killing a nexus in 7 volleys?
oh good times, good times.
