Complete demolish by Stephano =.=

Are you going to spend the entire day moaning about the format?
You've made your point, give it a rest.

Yay. Stephano versus another no-name as opposed to SaSe vs biGs.

You've made your point, give it a rest. While the format is terrible, there still are some decent games that could be shown.

Feel free to list those players. Also if you're not high masters there's zero chance of that happening to you and I've nothing against those guys being able to play.

That Stargate pressure by Stephano's opponent was pretty late

Dammit I thought that was MVP tails too.... These are the worst games I've seen in a while. You're getting pro players pitted against diamond players and streaming that.

The Dreamhack format is stupid, which is even more funny as they had it right last year when they did seed to pro's and let the randoms play their own tournament with the top two (Osho and Sarens in this case) getting a spot in the main tournament. Dude, MLG is not an Open tournament. Besides, I like the DreamHack format as it rewards skill and not past achievements/already having a big name. MLG has an open tournament. It doesn't waste an entire day or the tournament making Stephano play gold league players on stream.
On the other hand the Dreamhack format gives ordinary people, you know - those who are a part of "the scene", a chance to play against the pros. Not just one game due to a random bracket draw, but at least 3 group stage games of which at least one is certain to be against a pro.
Dreamhack first group stages is like first round of brackets at MLG, only the players signing up for the tournament knows for sure they'll get at least three games and get to play against a pro. I'd say that's doing more for the "scene" than locking the tournament down to the same 30 players every time.

Does anybody else have issues with stream sc2b audio?

No it's not at all. Guys like Slivko, Bly and other lesser known players getting a chance is important. Random diamond league scrub has no place whatsoever playing at Dreamhack. Dude how can you say that? Do you even know what an open tournament means? Great suggestion mate, the scene with go far with you at the helm. Well i kinda like this setup, it's a opportunity to see some unknowns and everyone (pro's and amateurs) starts equal at the tournament. And over 30k viewers on 2 streams might proof that there are people who do want to watch stages like this, so why not? Unknowns is fine. It's how we got all sorts of players who are now mainstays in the scene like Stephano himself. But if you're not high masters you should not be in the main tournament playing on stream.
I agree, unknown but top 8 masters or under 100 GM is fine, you have the skill to compete and won't make a fool of yourself at a tournament, but anything bellow that is a waste of time for the pros, the viewers and the casters.
There is no talent that will be discovered in a random platinum or diamond player, they play so bad in regards to mechanics, micro, macro and strategy that you have no fucking idea if they will be good or if they will just disapear.

Holy shit, did I just hear Pain of Salvation during that ad on stream1?

Now if only the World Cup would let Equitorial Guinea play Brazil and Fiji play Spain for the first week of the tournament I'm sure football would be able to grow their scene.

Let's see if the next game with Stephano is longer at least lol.

The sound level is so much lower on the second SC2 stream. Hope they'll fix it soon.

DH Open is about the players, not the viewers. Sweden is doing a great job for its own players getting them experiences and opportunities and it's produced results over time - Sweden is one of the best eSports countries in the world. For viewers, though, it's a terrible format both because of the lopsided games and because it extends the tournament all the way to Monday, when those of us who work are not able to watch.

Ah, didn't see it on any stream but RoX.KIS.fraer beat Dimaga 2-0 to take his group 6-0. I really hope he'll do well at this event, I was sad already when he didn't attend MLG Spring Arena 2 after qualifying for it.

Except MLG doesn't stream the first round of the open bracket. Some kinds could be decent, but they are not streaming these.
