If you want to give a very detailed breakdown of races, builds, player strategies, be my guest. I was just giving a general estimate. And yes, it applies to T/P more than Z, which doesn't get to saturate its bases due to its mechanics lack of queens.


no... it doesn't saturate its bases due to lack of need for minerals, zerg in sc1 is completely gas dependent were 3 gas zerg is a completely different animal to 2 gas. Even in the late game with idle larvae and excess minerals its pointless to make more drones to saturate minerals

One of the most annoying things switching between the two games is bw buildings spend their money as they start to be built, sc2 ones spend it as soon as you click. Going back to iccup I was always sending something to build then spending the money before it gets there

SC2 players, this may be crazy but watch this click.

Probes > Drones > SCV in terms of mining rates. Also known as how Blizzard accidentally made SCBW balanced on their (relatively due to few balance patches) first try.

the other major thing the sc2 players should know is diminishing returns hit a lot faster

so you can have an equal count of workers but mine faster on 3base vs 2base

less scientific isn't exactly the way i'd describe it, but rather there's no exact magic number to aim for because of how the saturation curve works, whereas as sc2 bases have a hard cap on how fast they can mine

Sadly, I missed that period. When I started watching pro StarCraft, Oversky was the only player who could be relied upon to occasionally win for ACE. I remember the excitement when Anytime and Reach joined ACE and the team actually started going from 0-3s and 1-3s to a lot of Ace Match losses and even the rare wins. Ace was always entertaining, but it was mostly because nobody expected Yellow to beat Bisu but everyone wanted to see it, not because they were high calibre games.

Ace was always entertaining, but it wasn't so much because of game quality, just because of the storyline. And I just don't have that much of an attachment to M18M, great, Piano, Canata, etc...

Any way, the point here is that Oversky is a hero.
I bear this sig to commemorate the loss of the team icon that commemorated Oversky's 2008-2009 Proleague Round 1 performance.
