Yeah, Protoss in WoL is a disgrace in game design. But Terran and Zerg are well-designed races. I am happy if they make Protoss weak and we won't have to watch them.

i hope they fix protoss in heart of the swarm

-delay Warp Gate by a lot
-give a more interesting ability than Chrono
-delay FFs
-improve potential for micro somehow
-bring back Carrier move/attack from BW (and buff Carrier)

I disagree with every move except for the last one. There's no reason for carriers to be as terrible as they are now, but delaying warpgates solves nothing, chronoboost is fine, delaying forcefields would do nothing and protoss already is the most micro reliant race out there.

Maybe we should talk about it somewhere else, but I'm willing to discuss it without going apeshit on yo ass

He was winning games in Korea (GSTL and ESV) before his NASL breakout and everyone thought it was a matter of moments before he was tearing up the GSL. It was really just comparing the way Polt seems to be fine vs Koreans outside Korea but can't string together wins in the GSL lately =p

Man, that was looooooooong ago. Before the whole EG+TSL controversy.

The important part here is the reversal in score, it's like the whole Polt vs Stephano story, he used to get crushed by Polt all the time, then he won some, and now he wins most of them.

Stephano lost to MC all the time before, the two latest records are 5-3 for MC and 2-0 for Stephano. Now I still think MC is better overall than Stephano but the rate at which that zerg player adapts and improves is impressive.

MC isn't at all better than stephano. He squeaked out that FC win after Stephano was coming off a 10 day lay off. Stephano is 6-1 against JYP, who is far better at zvp than MC. Stephano is the better player, IMO and this is evidenced by his having a higher Elo in the matchup. Having taken down MC Stephano will trust himself and stomp MC just like all of the other protosses - at least that's what I predict. Go Stephano!

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Stephano - 0
Major LAN wins in 2012 for MC - 2.

MC is the better player.

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Parting - 0

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Thorzain - 1

Thorzain is the better player.

I don't know why I bother talking to such clueless fanboys.

I agree that MC is better than Stephano, but you can't be angry that your terrible metric for player skill is turned against you.

Yes, tournaments won and head to head record is such a poor way to compare players.

H2H record from a year ago, combined with tournament results from just 2012?

Besides the relevance of these stats, it's obvious that you're massaging the stats you're giving to paint Stephano in a worse light. Lifetime results are great for evaluating a player's career but not for how skilled they are right now. Tournament results are heavily dependent on the roll of the dice a lot of the times due to the way brackets are set up. Squirtle has zero LAN wins in 2012, does this make him worse than MC?

Lmao you act as if the H2H record taking from a year ago was what made the H2H record so one-sided.

Blizz cup was just a few months ago, HSC wasn't that long ago, and IPL FC was just a few weeks ago.

He lost 1 game to MC in Blizzard Cup, and 4 in HSC. HSC 3 was one year ago. Counting only the HSC 4 result -> Stephano is 2-3 vs. MC on LANs, 3-5 vs. him online. It's a decent result considering MC's PvZ is enough to 3-0 DRG.

Can both of you stop cherry picking results? Yes, results from a few months ago aren't really relevant. At the same time, DRG was playing like shit on the first day of Arena 1, and showed much better play on the second day, where he proceeded to crush MC (and beat MKP, which imo was the much more impressive feat).

Delay Warp Gate? Warp Gate should be moved up higher in the tech tree, and make it cost an arm and a leg. It's the best upgrade in the game, and to make it balanced since it's so low in tech and accessible, Blizz had to gimp Protoss gateway units.

I feel as if it's a mixture of exhaustion from travel and that he's so high profile with his never ending attendance of foreign tournaments combined with that he won't have the time to rest and prepare his opponents gain a massive preparation edge over him.

Squirtle is overall worse than MC.

Plenty of players have had amazing months before (Leenock, Losira, Puma). It doesn't make you instantly better than a guy who's been amazing for 18 months.

People are way too quick to spill their load over the next big hype train.

As Mvp showed today form is temporary, class is (usually) permanent.

Squirtle at this moment is a million times better tahn MC at pvp, pvz and slightly better than him at pvt. I can't believe you actually wrote taht. Look at Squirtle's recent stats and compare them with MC's. Then watch a few of their games against each of the respective races. Squirtle is a brilliant, brilliant player and the real deal.

Playing terribly is not an excuse when you base your arguments on results, which is what the person I was responding to is doing. MC is 4-3 vs. DRG in Arena 1 under this argument, which puts his 3-2 vs. Stephano in perspective.

Wow DRG has such a hard road for this tourney... Polt, Socke, MC, then potentially symbol then polt(again) and stephano. all before the finals.

Squirtle is on an unbelievable hot streak right now. We`ll see how good he is in a month.

Cloud kingdom is the map for game 2,

standard openigns, 15hatch vs 1 rax CC

double gas for polt, looks like 1rax CC into fac,

* grubby and ryung setting up atm i think

6:00 reactor hellion from polt, taking a third CC, symbol added 2 gas

8:00 symbol attacking with about 11 roach, behind it taking a third and a macro hatch

The classic example of the clueless poster with a goldfish memory that spams this website with your drivel.

A players skill is not solely based upon how well they did in the last tournament they played in.

No, but extending the last tournament to the last 2-3 tournaments doesn't make it work.
