Stephano is 5-10 vs MC. MC is better than him (as evidenced by MC's two major LAN wins this year) but obviously Stephano is no scrub and is capable of beating MC.

The important part here is the reversal in score, it's like the whole Polt vs Stephano story, he used to get crushed by Polt all the time, then he won some, and now he wins most of them.

Stephano lost to MC all the time before, the two latest records are 5-3 for MC and 2-0 for Stephano. Now I still think MC is better overall than Stephano but the rate at which that zerg player adapts and improves is impressive.

MC isn't at all better than stephano. He squeaked out that FC win after Stephano was coming off a 10 day lay off. Stephano is 6-1 against JYP, who is far better at zvp than MC. Stephano is the better player, IMO and this is evidenced by his having a higher Elo in the matchup. Having taken down MC Stephano will trust himself and stomp MC just like all of the other protosses - at least that's what I predict. Go Stephano!

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Stephano - 0
Major LAN wins in 2012 for MC - 2.

MC is the better player.

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Parting - 0

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Thorzain - 1

Thorzain is the better player.

I don't know why I bother talking to such clueless fanboys.

I agree that MC is better than Stephano, but you can't be angry that your terrible metric for player skill is turned against you.

Yes, tournaments won and head to head record is such a poor way to compare players.

H2H record from a year ago, combined with tournament results from just 2012?

Besides the relevance of these stats, it's obvious that you're massaging the stats you're giving to paint Stephano in a worse light. Lifetime results are great for evaluating a player's career but not for how skilled they are right now. Tournament results are heavily dependent on the roll of the dice a lot of the times due to the way brackets are set up. Squirtle has zero LAN wins in 2012, does this make him worse than MC?

Lmao you act as if the H2H record taking from a year ago was what made the H2H record so one-sided.

Blizz cup was just a few months ago, HSC wasn't that long ago, and IPL FC was just a few weeks ago.

Ever since Oz made that "PvP is 100% skill" comment he's been struggling with PvP so badly.

15:00 DRG taking a 4th, and teching hive, socke getting a collosus den.

Symbol has gone muta, polt taking a 4th CC, greater spire morphing in as polt gets aggressive

17:00 with a 70 food ling DRG attacks the third, good force fields but so many units from DRG, socke only just holds, double robo pumping collosus, but greater spire almost done.

* 3-3 half way done for polt, symbol about to start morphin in broods, polt is pushing into symbol natural

19:00 socke taking a 4th, DRG taking a 5th, both players making a deathball.

Symbol flanks polts army ! but a bunch of marines survive and run into the natural, however broods pop out and polt has to run home.

20:00 socke attacks and the ling inefstor army of DRG cleans it up very easily. DT warp in at the 5th cant kill the hatch, 1 zealot on the field for Socke.

21:00 DRG doubling the supply of socke... going to take a miracle for socke to win.

polt ruinning around everywhere trying to split up the immobile brood army,

24:00 game is over DRG wins, but socke not gg'ing yet. mothership and voids on the way, but the game is 100% over.

symbol and polt trade armies, game time 26 for that game atm

28:00 Polt killing the mining bases of symbol, now broods out of positoon he goes to the other side of the map to do more damage, beautiful play from polt !

29:00 Viking marine doing huge damage huge damage ! but the infestor/banes go off and polt has to retreat with a lot of losses, both players on 130 pop now !

31:00 symbol been winning most engagments, but polts multiple attacks and drops are tearing him apart, polt with the better econ now. A huge engagment and Polt just has too many marine/medivac/viking.

Squirtle is overall worse than MC.

Plenty of players have had amazing months before (Leenock, Losira, Puma). It doesn't make you instantly better than a guy who's been amazing for 18 months.

People are way too quick to spill their load over the next big hype train.

As Mvp showed today form is temporary, class is (usually) permanent.

Good point. MC also confronted a pickpocket at ESWC which means he has an advantage over the french.

Polt's strategical decision making in Polt vs Symbol was insanely good. First, his aggression early on provided him scouting and kept the zerg from banking money. Because of this, he knew about the broodlords as soon as they came out. After that, he drew Symbol's slow broodlord army in different directions, and by doing double drops in the bottom while dropping the top of the map, he kept Symbol's economy under control while constantly forcing efficient trades. Throughout the whole game he had beautiful macro, expanding constantly, and never missing a round of production. Some of the best TvZ I have seen. Credit to Symbol for surviving for so long against near-flawless terran play.
