Quick yes no question for you: if Player A beats Player B in early 2011, does that play a factor in determining who's better in mid 2012 if they're playing an updated (patched) version of the game?

No, because Thorzain won a tournament full of foreigners and Polt/Genius where as MC won over a far tougher player pool in both tournaments.
Parting reached the semis/ro8 of Code S. Which is far harder.
There is zero measure by which Stephano is better than MC. MC surpasses him in overall results, results in 2012, prize money, head to head record, record vs other top Koreans.
He is just ahead by every metric.

Obviously not. I'm not saying stephano is better or worse. I have no opinion on that. I just feel that stats aren't irrelevant.
