Stephano is 5-10 vs MC. MC is better than him (as evidenced by MC's two major LAN wins this year) but obviously Stephano is no scrub and is capable of beating MC.

The important part here is the reversal in score, it's like the whole Polt vs Stephano story, he used to get crushed by Polt all the time, then he won some, and now he wins most of them.

Stephano lost to MC all the time before, the two latest records are 5-3 for MC and 2-0 for Stephano. Now I still think MC is better overall than Stephano but the rate at which that zerg player adapts and improves is impressive.

MC isn't at all better than stephano. He squeaked out that FC win after Stephano was coming off a 10 day lay off. Stephano is 6-1 against JYP, who is far better at zvp than MC. Stephano is the better player, IMO and this is evidenced by his having a higher Elo in the matchup. Having taken down MC Stephano will trust himself and stomp MC just like all of the other protosses - at least that's what I predict. Go Stephano!

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Stephano - 0
Major LAN wins in 2012 for MC - 2.

MC is the better player.

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Parting - 0

Major LAN wins in 2012 for Thorzain - 1

Thorzain is the better player.

I don't know why I bother talking to such clueless fanboys.

I agree that MC is better than Stephano, but you can't be angry that your terrible metric for player skill is turned against you.

Yes, tournaments won and head to head record is such a poor way to compare players.

So it's fair to say that Thorzain is better than Parting?

2:00 13pool vs 13gate, now socke expanding 6 lings on the way to his base, could be in a lot of trouble.

5:00 2 zealots out now, lings cant get into main. third base on the way for drg,+1 and warp gate for socke

7:00 5 gate +1 all in for socke, but roach warren almost done for DRG.

Polt going cloak banshee after FE, into third CC.

socke warping in some stalker too, DRG making a lot of ling/roach, DRG in a good position it looks like !

10:00 twil;ight on the way, socke warping in more units but they are just getting picked off. DT shirne and blink incoming.

12:00 Socke sending DT accross the map, socke reveals the blink, no detection yet, finally morphing overseer.

13:00 not much damage from DTs, DRG now 60 food ahead, surely socke cant win

14:00 socke trying to take a 3rd, DRG almost double his supply. infestor ling roach as well, socke in a world of trouble

15:00 DRG taking a 4th, and teching hive, socke getting a collosus den.

Symbol has gone muta, polt taking a 4th CC, greater spire morphing in as polt gets aggressive

17:00 with a 70 food ling DRG attacks the third, good force fields but so many units from DRG, socke only just holds, double robo pumping collosus, but greater spire almost done.

* 3-3 half way done for polt, symbol about to start morphin in broods, polt is pushing into symbol natural

19:00 socke taking a 4th, DRG taking a 5th, both players making a deathball.

Symbol flanks polts army ! but a bunch of marines survive and run into the natural, however broods pop out and polt has to run home.

Offline H2H in 2012 is 2-2.

If you want to count in your personal statistic a game from 12 months ago where Stephano wasn't a pro player and was just a nobody, and a BO1 from 6 months ago as a proof that "MC is better RIGHT NOW", then go on, but you'll just make a fool of yourself.

I just love watching Polt vs Symbol. So much skill and Blizzard really made TvZ amazing in WoL.

Okay ignoring the first Homestory cup, MC has had a perfect record against stephano. Even the IPL with lag MC still won 5-2 or 5-3.

I'm not sure if fanboys are really serious or just trolling. If it's the former then I hope their mentality is only in sc2 and not in life

Context is usually important. Thorzain only had to beat 2 koreans to win dreamhack.

Agreed!

Is Socke dead yet, or is he holding on?

Both! :p

Stephano was 6-1 v. jyp and people still thought MC was better than him. Although this victory wasn't necessary since Mc isn't probably even top 5 in pvz, it will further cement Stephano as the great foreign hope. WP Stephano.

Thorzain has never played Parting, so the head-to-record aeroplane mentioned isn't there.

His stats aren't perfect, but neither is your analogy.
