Better players won. I cannot believe the terrans here. They used to say "learn how to play" now they are saying "your race is op" ?? Nothing really changed dramatically people.

Supernova could have won the 1st game, he was just too reluctant to attack after 4-gate failled. And they both stayed in two base like forever. Naturally, toss started close the army gap by higher worker count. If it was MKP, this game would have ended after the failed 4-gate.

Terran still have many more options than protoss and this still makes it stronger in the start of the game. At latter stages I find the match up quite balanced.

Very Map dependent . If Blizzard and the tournaments want the Maps to stay the way they currently are ( like Daybreak f.e ) there needs to be some patching.

TvP even if you believe it is balanced is still horrible to play and watch.

Nexus first or big Maps ( most of the current Maps are big enough ) counter it pretty well unless you completely fuck up.

I never thought in a million years that Hero would make the final 4. So happy for team liquid which we are all apart (on these forums supporting at least). I always thought hero was a 2nd rate toss, but he has proven he's not. I hope it's MVP vs Hero finals, but my head is telling me it's gonna be Parting and squirtle.

stop crying about Protoss

Right now T and P are both about equal, and Zerg probably just lacks new Talent.

Squirtle proved at IPL already, that hes one of the MIP, most improved players in 2012

HerO just plays the season of his life, first time in Code S too afaik, and hes the most solid player in Teamliquid right now.

PartinG is a PvT monster, and GSL naturally has most Terrans, so he has always chances to run deep.


only guys like DRG and aLive are to blame, they could have easily made it to the finals from here.

These threads remind me why I have started watching less and less SC2. The fan community is just pathetic, thread is just 90% balance whiners. It's such a joke, based on one or two sets where their favorite player or race loses kids here will scream imbalance like blizzard should drastically patch the game overnight and esports is ruined if they dont.

Meanwhile, the next week, or month, with no patches happening you watch sets with the other race winning just as handedly, or things like MKP winning multiple tournaments in a row while gold league armchair experts are whining about how horribly weak and hopeless Terran are. Eyeroll. Fucking joke the lot of you whiners.

And yet, out of the 10 TvP games in Ro8, there was not 1 attempt at a 1-1-1... Have Korean Terrans gotten more honorable (unlikely) or are most Protosss builds, maps, better control making the 1-1-1 not as effective???

Terrans do have more options. But with the bigger maps and smaller ramps, Protoss with a decent sentry count/scouting can counter many of these options. Not sure why you find the latter stages balanced considering the protoss army upgrades faster and better, has warp ins.

You must have missed all the Terran nerfs.

Only nerf I can think of for Protoss is their storm.
They were buffed for immortals, forge upgrades, and archons (splash, or was that in the beta? I don't remember).

Now you wonder why Terran was dominate in the start of SC2, as well as having maps favorable to T back in the day for the most part? And also, it is true there are more BW pros playing Terran than the other races, take it for what you will however.


Let me dissect your Terran nerfs

1. Bunker 100% salvage never made any sense. What kind of game design allows someone to make buildings and get full refund for it? Be thankful you get 75% back

2. Barracks time was nerf to the same time as other tier 1 unit builder. Why should Barracks build 5 second faster than Gateway?

3. EMP radius was nerfed to THE SAME SIZE AS STORM. Why the hell should EMP, an ability that COMES IN FREE, from a unit that is faster, more range, and has the ability to cloak and MORE ENERGY, be bigger in size than storm?

4. Reapers nerfed because a unit that ignores pathing doing that much dmg is bad game design. Terran already has something like that called vikings

5. Stimpack nerf.. as if Stimpack is even an issue now

6. BFH nerf. Well when terrans can just build 10 hellions and roast 80 workers then it's imbalance

7. Thors nerfed. Lol coz they are underpowered right now right?

Funny thing is, those nerf happened because Terran as race started overpowered as shit to begin with.

Think of it this way, it took all those nerf for both races to catch up to Terran. Now that MU are nearing 50% win rate better players are winning regardless of race.

Your comparisons to other race's spells are just dumb, don't do that when discussing balance. Or you want SC to be like AOE, zero uniqueness?

Actually we shouldn't discuss balance at all, almost no one qualified here.


It's called comprehension. I was responding to the guy who whined about all the Terran nerfs when they were overpowered to begin with, hence the need for the nerf.

Spells are unique on their own already, the fact that EMP is instant and free is VERY unique to storm which is progressive and need to be researched. Blizzard obviously found it unfair for EMP to have bigger radius than storm, hence the nerf. Shouldn't throw the word dumb around if you didn't even comprehend my argument.

I'm retarded sorry, didn't want to quote you but the guy you were adressing.

And not all spells are really unique, aside from the cast ranges and such EMP/storm/fungal are really similiar in their function.
You must gather your party before venturing forth.

Terran players haven't tried everything yet. Extra orbitals; Late game you should have scans coming out of your arse.

Also I'd like to point out that learning to deal with an early game rush and learning to play against the late game of a whole race are different things. And this 'P>T lategame' jazz isn't exactly new, it's been around since release.

I don't think anything needs nerfing right now anyhow. Just sayin'.
