I completely agree with you. It is just obnoxious, unpleasant noise.
Rofl, you people complaining about dubstep must be like 50 years old.
And don't act like you are too cultured for dubstep because I guarantee you would think most classical music and jazz is just noise as well, let alone serial or panchromatic music.
I'm not saying that dubstep is comparable to Stravinsky or anything but open your mind. Music isn't supposed to just sound pleasing, some of it is supposed to be challenging and some of it is supposed to be aggressive. Dubstep is supposed to be aggressive. It is like the metal of electronic music.
I listen to every kind of music, even death metal. Dubstep is not music. AND its surely not in the category of metal of electronic music. Only people who like it seems to be kids. No offense. They seem to like it, my kid brother is proof of it.
You know, old people said the same thing about rock n roll back in the day. the only people that like it are kids.
Well then you just proved my point! :D
If your point was you sound like an old close-minded man, then yes, i did prove your point!
Nope! But its for kids! yes I proved my point Listen more to dumbstep, I bet your brains will be fried like radiation soon lolol.

Not a big fan of dubstep, but what you're saying is beyond retarded. :/
really? cause no one in my country likes it. Only the kids. if you think its good, go ahead, but it is the internet. I am free to what I say, at least I didn't say the N word.
I personally don't but it is music and a lot of people seem to appreciate it, certainly not just kids..

This. Dubstep is the one type of music I can't find any form of enjoyment in. I can easily name some stuff in each genre out there that I enjoy... Dubstep is just robots having sex.
Same here >_> Still hope Halo does well this MLG though, not really a fan but would be sad to see it die
Yeah.
But it was a pretty sick game I'm not gonna lie. I stopped watching Halo a while ago (Reach is terrible) but well when you're down 49-45 and suddenly you kill the entire team to tie it at 49-49, the crowd goes insane. Hasn't been a game that good since early H3.
Well it was also the biggest team in Halo against a team people have been hyping to win this event putting on 5 close games so at the end the crowd was going to go nuts.
That too, Instinct has a ton of fans. But I think the crowd would've gone nuts regardless of it being Instinct or not.
Haven't watched Halo in a while (yeah Reach does suck) but that sounds insane. Especially been disconnected to it cause I haven't really paid attention since the H3 days. Still a big fan of pistola though (have been since before he broke out with TD in H3). Hope he does well. If Reach dies after this MLG season I hope they'll pick up Halo 4 anyway, from what I've heard from my friends in the scene 343 has done good things with Reach (allowing removal of bloom, etc.) so I think they could do an even better job with it than Bungie.
Yeah I've been pulled away from SC2 for a bit to watch the series so that says something. But if the Halo crowd keeps this up it'll start rivaling the SC2 crowd in intensity and it won't be dropped until 4 comes out.
I just hope H4 is like the originals, not Reach.
What changed in Halo: Reach? I don't know anything about it, but I find it hard to believe a console FPS game can change all that much.
Halo:Reach absolutely blows balls. Hardly takes any skill compared to the former Halos. Halo 1 took so much skill to play at a high level same with Halo 2. Just compare Halo 2 to Reach and its like BW against a worse SC2.
How can anyone take e-sports on a console seriously? It's just wrong to determine the best players in a game using a gamepad. A good player with mouse + keyboard could probably win easily vs. the best player with gamepad. Especially in fps games. But maybe that's just my german prejudice. I think we are one of the last major games markets where there are still more people playing on PC than on all consoles combined and we curse the americans for their console usage, since that means that the technology of games does stagnate completely... My poor PC just can easily handle all new games, despite being 5 years old. That just feels wrong :D
Maybe, but everyone can still hit their shots, and for the Halos the slower nature of the gameplay compared to PC FPS means that the game centers less around the shooting and more about the teamwork and communication.

Dubstep is a genre of electronic music. A lot of it sucks like metal, but some of it goes well with electro house sets even though electro is typically at 128 BPM and dubstep is at 140 BPM. Go to a rave or club and hear it on big speakers, you won't get it until you do it, you hear bass so loud it physically forces you to dance.
But that's just the opinion of an electro/trance DJ. I personally don't get most of it like a lot of the Deadmau5/Skrillex hipster brand of EDM, but there is good dubstep out there.
This. Also I wish people would stop listening to brostep and saying 'All dubstep is shit.' that's like listening to Soulja Boy and saying 'All rap music is terrible.'.

Actually you're the only one acting like a kid around here right now.

Bloom, equipment, no BR, etc. Not to mention the maps Bungie made were pretty bad.
It just wasnt fun at all. It was boring, especially the maps.
What's Bloom?
In FPS games you have the target built in, well with bloom there is a circle that expands when you move or shoot, meaning your accuracy goes down. So if you shoot you have to wait for your circle to get small again to shoot or you'll miss.
Works in Shadowrun, but not Halo.
That's not bloom, that's a dynamic crosshair... and that's in every FPS game that's good, other than Quake.
Bloom is with the graphics, it created a little outer flow around models that softens the outside.
Only with Halo it was set up in such a way that if you ignored bloom and just shot as fast as you could you could win against the player who was theoretically shooting right. Not to mention that the randomness made the shooting feel bad, like you should have hit someone and that didn't happen. It reminded me a lot of shooter-RPGs that have dice rolls for accuracy, only you don't want that with Halo.
MLG settings now have bloom turned off (one of the things 343 did right), so we'll see. Still haven't returned to it though.
old halo 1 map DLC replacing shitty Reach maps help too.
Pretty sure that magnetic targetting carried over from H3 IIRC. That was one of the dumbest things they ever put in the game. Completely crippling game-skill.
No auto-aim in console FPS = terrible games.
You'd have terrible accuracy without it cause it's on a controller.
No it isn't. I guess you've never played H1 or H2. It actually took practice and skill to shoot accurate. Getting 4shots consistently used to be a mark of a great player, now any schmoe can do it. (At least in H3) It was a complete and utter joke, especially removing BxR and all the other skill ceiling activities.

seems to me only gamers like it. The only dubstep that everone likes is shufflin. Other then that :/ Even clubs don't play dubstep anymore. Been that way since a month ago.

you do realize how much of a jackass you sound like right? Define kids? I mean I know a ton of people in there 20s and 30s that listen to dubstep
... unfortunately once skrillex was bought space on beatport charts and people figured out it's easy to cash out on producing that shit, it started becoming a genre for music for people who don't really like music but the fad.
