Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks! |

They just picked him up recently. CodeA player. He crushed took out sase and while watching his screen live his APM was probably as fast as DRG and mechanics are 100%. I think you're giving him to much credit. No, his apm and mechanics are amazing. His gamesense and decisionmaking are obviously not quite DRG level though, which is really holding him back. They're good, but not amazing you can definitively see that he is not an A-level korean.

Both his losses to zergs last game was a 26min game, and sleep is pretty good ;o
A 26 minute game doesn't mean there's not things to work on. I know vs Idra his losses were both long games but it never seemed like he was able to make anything happen despite keeping pace on macro timings, and then just got rolled by Hive tech.
Anyway, I know it's probably as not as good as Jinro was hoping for but I think he had a pretty solid showing.

Crazymoving completely outplays MC in game 1 on a very Protoss favored map, bungals an all-in, then gets killed for missing a proxy pylon.

Watching Parting as a terran makes me sad feel dead inside. I'm guessing this is how Z's feel versus MMA.

The funny thing is, if crazymoving had made the third adjacent to his main this never would have happened

How many templars did PartinG have? WTF, he sniped 4 and had 2 running into the base.

Only foreigners considered stephano unbeatable. There's a reason he normally avoids the tourneys with most koreans in it. It's easier for him and helps his rep. Beating grubby and whitera 15 times all day does not mean he has unbeatable zvp. Stephano is good and probably best foreigner, but he's no where close to the level of hype he's built himself by playing against inferior competition mostly. This pretty much sums up my opinion on Stephano perfectly.... Guy is obviously good, but people hyping him up as best ZvP in the world, code S etc. is just silly..... the hardest opponent he has beaten for his championships is polt. Now Polt is good too, but he's just another GSL average Terran imo... He's also beaten MKP, DRG and so many more. He has the best winrate against top Koreans by far among the foreigners. The hype is there for a reason.
Yes, but the TL power rank on this very site put him at #6 out of all MLG competitors. (see http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=322861) I think there is a case for that to be considered hype especially if you compare it to how well he actually did at this tournament.

Rain attacked before either of his upgrades finished. His attack finished a second or two into the fight, and the armor finished afterwards. Bad move. :-/

If you eat three storms you're gonna have a bad time...
