I think that can be true sometimes for sure. Machine not casting Zerg matchups can be interesting to say the least. However, I think Pokebunny is providing good knowledge of the protoss race and zerg race, and at the very least, Tumba can fill in on anything he's missing out on.
It amazes me how young pokebunny is, he is quite professional and a very good caster =) Always love Tumba too so overall I think they work very nicely together =)

Pokebunnys wpm is quite impressive. Very talkative guy. ^^

So these were the results today:
Dream 1-2 Sase Alive 2-0 Socke Alive 0-2 Catz Snute 2-0 Killer Violet 2-0 Nightend Pig 0-2 TLO
Only 6 series compared to yesterdays 14. A more even distribution would be nice both for casters (poor Gwin almost died yesterday :p) and viewers. Thanks for the games. ^^

If you'd point out where I was wrong, I'd gladly improve.

I just wanted to post to say thanks to ONOG for putting me in the vote to get into this tournament. Also thanks to everyone from SEA who voted for me to get into it. It was a great opportunity to compete with some of the best players around the world.
Unfortunately I didn't play my best and didn't take a single game which was really disappointing for me. It's been a learning experience though and I always try to walk away from every loss with motivation to work harder. These were all fantastic players and I learnt from each loss:
Playing Titan taught me that I need to be unafraid to cheese players who have a tendency to play very risky. If I want to macro vs odd and greedy playstyles I need to be extremely well practiced with my defensive timings. I was off by ~30-60seconds in both games against titan with overdroning.
Playing Select I realised the main problem was a large lack of terran practice partners. To a lesser extent i had the same problem against Titan as SEA's top players are mostly Zergs and very few T and P. Since my loss to Select I've decided to go to a net cafe several times a week to train on the NA server with some of the pro teams there to improve my vP and vT. I didn't do this previously cos my connection to NA from home is ~300ping.
Playing TLO I realised I was not used to playing such strange opening builds and while I feel I made the right decisions with my openers in each game I failed in some other stages. Game 1 I failed to drone hard enough and scout his front often enough in the earlygame and then was completely caught off guard by the nydus because I didn;t overseer scout immediately when my lair finished. Game 2 I tried muta play to counter his insanely late gas build. However I rarely train this and so my defense from his lingbane aggression was too thin and i took over 10 drone losses, delaying my mutas long enough to get up his 3rd safely. I also didn't prioritise my mutas to attacking drones as well as I could have.
All in all I feel I embarrased myself in quite a few of these games. But rather than hiding it I accept that I haven't trained hard enough, with good enough players. I've isolated myself in the smaller SEA scene with just Korean ladder to improve my skill and as a result I've really neglected large areas of my play. It's time to really switch on and hopefully give myself a better showing the next time an opportunity like this comes along.
Thanks Deric and Hannah for organising this, you guys are insane doing this all on your own. Also shoutout to the casters for doing a great job, I appreciate the effort you guys put into entertaining us.

Wouldn't it be boring if the scene is entirely static and no new kids ever get a chance?
Very true. It wasn't long ago Snute was in this position too, a lot of people were doubting him and hesitant towards inviting him to these kind of events

Thanks for playing PiG I'm glad you're using this opportunity to improve your practice and become a better player. I'm glad I got to watch all your games, you're one of my favourite players.
Good luck in the future, I'm looking forward to an even better PiG.

As a high(ish) level random player I felt your analysis was quite good. Liked the casting and felt you knew what you were doing. My only real criticism would be that you should cool down a little when dual casting and make sure the other caster gets to say things. You talked over Tumba a couple of times and I like having casters bring each other to a higher level. Thanks for casting tonight, you did a great job.

Idk, so should bitterdam and tastosis never cast TvTs again? Or is this specifically referring to this tourney?

i found it hard to listen to pokebunny today. i don't mean to be mean it's just his voice is still a bit young and i'd prefer to listen to somebody with a smoother voice like tumba. pretty good analysis from poke tho, too bad he's not a coupole years older.

Forgot to watch this, come back and see Snute winning his group. This pleases me.

Bitterdam and Tastosis are casters, they have been casting for years, so it is irrelevant what race they play, since they have casted for a very long time. Pokebunny's analysis isn't bad on what he talks about, but there is a lot of essential details about the non-terran matchups which he misses, and Tumba doesn't always pick up on them either.

If anyone has Socke added on EU, could you ask him to join the channel ONOGC please? Thanks [:
|
I don't see why people expect Pokebunny to be a perfect caster, he's 16 with very little casting background. He did a great job and really lifted the tournament castingwise for me. It's also been great to see non-famous players get to join a rather big tournament, I was honestly getting tired of seeing the same names everywhere, there's alot of "pro" players being outclassed by newcomers and it's about time to stop letting players who are not as good as the hype wants them to be take all the spots.
I hope the live games of the tournament will go 9000 times smoother than the replays has because it's been downright painful to follow the games so far.
Also people like Joakiiim should just gtfo, all you do is make the rest of your nation look as bad as you do, please stop doing that. >_>

How can you be speaking against up-and-comers/underdogs getting a shot in tourneys when our own norwegian players are in that exact same position? See snute in IEM Sao Paolo, bet you didn't go out of your way to tell the world he didn't deserve that chance. gtfo with that bs son
