From wiki. You are correct and while they take longer, they certainly don't take twice as long to mine.

This is what happens when you're on a plane for that many hours. Some players just don't play up to their normal standard. Can't say I'm surprised MVP is losing right now as a result of that. MVP is still leagues better than Sniper, just didn't play his best this game.

I think someone has done the math and I remember it being on a not fully saturated base a mule counts for 4 scv's, and on a fully saturated base(24 i think) for 6.
