With a little bit of luck, the first 3 can take their games, or 2 and MaNa wins the ace match (or thorzain). MaNa has no chance against Leenock though...

Yeah, but it's quite unlikely and difficult.
I haven't seen much of Tree, but asd is really, really good, it shows that he's a former Code S player, I remember him walking over Demuslim against EG while Thorzain has looked a bit shaky lately. And MorroW got his worst matchup, whereas lucky is very strong in ZvT, I mean, he almost beat MVP and also had an incredible run at IPL3.
These game will be sick, and will probably be decided by ace match.
My prediction: Tree vs HasuObs (Hasu has been slumping lately, although he's been practicing really hard lately to get back to his old level. Tree will most likely take this game since FXO have very strong Protoss players and most players have strong vP).
Asd vs ThorZaIN (Thorzain will take this, Asd hasnt been looking superstrong lately, getting knocked out from Code A and not showing strong games in any matchup, ThorZaIN has been pretty inconsistent the latest months but I think he's solid enough to take this game)
Lucky vs MorroW (MorroW will take this, why? watch his TvZ games against leenock, his TvZ is really strong!)
Leenock vs Mana (Mana's been struggling in PvZ lately, and well Leenock is Leenock. I think Leenock will take this pretty convincingly)
Ace Match: Depends on which players both teams will line, could go either way but FXO definitley has the edge.
If Hasu gets cross pos on temple he has at least 50% chance of beating Tree. Thorzain has always had great tvt and odyssey looks pretty good for morrows tvz.
I think Mana will have a hard time vs the monster Leenock on Tal'Darim though. The map doesn't suite him as it favors 2 base aggressive play more than Manas gateway-heavy into 3 base macro. Also, it will be hard for whoever plays Daybreak if they send out Leenock again.
3-0 mouz could happen, but most likely 3-1 or 3-2 FXO.
Tree < HasuObs (never heard of Tree, but Hasu has beat PuMa before so I'll just give him this)
asd < ThorZaIN (asd is in a slump and ThorZaIN is always dangerous)
Lucky > MorroW (it is gonna be close, MorroW showed great TvZ lately and Lucky knocked MMA out of the MLG qualifier (). I'll give it to Lucky but it is close. )
Leenock > MaNa (It's Tal'Darim and MaNas PvZ has been off lately.)
Ace: I think it could be Lucky vs ThorZaIN, cause they both played the Ace Matches of their teams so far. I can see ThorZaIN take but I'm a Mouz fan. Lucky has a good shot too, so it could be anyway around.
I'm glad to see Icelandic and Bosnian e-sports are growing too.
Anyway, Mouz lucked out due to Reign dissolving, I'm guessing they'll take 4th now either way, there's almost nothing in their way. Not sure if tonight's result really matters for them at all (ranking wise at least).

I assume you're talking about the Team Cards that are shown early on in the cast. They're just displaying 5 "notable" players on the specific team. We couldn't fit everyone... teams like FXO would need like 3 cards to fit all their players xD so it was decided to just display 5 notable players from each team instead to keep things fair and clean.

Okay, thanks! I was just wondering, cause I never saw moonan for example play this season, and I felt like it was a bit strange to mention him there as one of the notables on FXO if you know he isn't playing anyway.
Now Leenock is from Iceland and MaNa is from...somewhere.
Leenock vs Destiny show match? He's supposed to play the best Icelandic player, right? At least the foreigners have a shot at a future GSL title with Leenock on our side
I've only seen TvT's on this map, Happy vs Puma, Artist vs Happy, Happy vs Jinro, now this. Guess I should watch more NASL, no idea how different matchups play out there.

If only GSL had this map in their rotation last year. It would have been perfect for GOMTvT.

this is true. koreans aren't cheesy, but they exploit mistakes, leading to many korean vs foreigner games ending shortly, because koreans see a critical weakness being overlooked and then exploit it and instawin.
in this game we almost saw exactly what i was talking about, lol. pretty good defense though, 3 base vs 2, but behind in supply and harvester count isn't too different atm.
Pretty funny I had a feeling Mouz would either 3-0 or lose altogether. Glad it went the way it did but bitter I managed to spoil myself on the reults-tab before I could catch the rebroadcast!

Amazing how much you can derive from a single series isn't it?
That seems possible if he isn't following the league he is replying to, or anything that has been going on really. He's probably saying something else.

Amazing series by mouz, now they hold a comfortable (but not yet uncatchable) lead in front of Reign and Roxkis. But should they win one of their last two matches, I think they are in the playoffs for sure. Anybody knowing who their last two opponents will be?
On February 21 2012 00:44 Talin wrote: They're already in the playoffs for sure (have been before this match as well I think). They get freewin vs Reign next round I would assume.
The most important question in NASTL right now is who gets to play FXO in the semi finals.
No, Reign did already state, that they will play their last matches. Mouz will play Reign and Quantic in the last to days. Reign has to play Mouz and Liquid, Rox.Kis has to play Empire and EG. Of those three I think mouz has the best chances. But it is also possible, that FXO drops out, they have to play Liquid and Empire in the last to matches.
nice play by all of them hope some other teams can beat fxo so it will be all foreigner teams at the top 4 edit: nvm fxo already through... or they can? i am confused xD

what does... 'bought' mean? Zenio had already left oGs before joining Liquid. HerO was on oGs already, but because of the oGs-TL friendship it's not like both of those players were strangers to Liquid.

Thorzain was bought a mere few months before HerO, that hardly makes him a founding member of Mousesports. Likewise, Naama, Lomo, Rafa and a few other players on the roster who weren't doing well left the team, whereas Liquid kept all their players regardless of results.

As for "hyped" players, hype is irrelevant. Ret is still doing fantastic, Haypro actually has done a lot better near the end of the year result-wise, and TLO whom people hate overcame a serious injury, two months of not playing the game, and a race change, and is playing great right now.
You could make an argument for Jinro, but he's "fallen off" of the GSL semi-finals and a Code S regular level - a position no other foreigner ever reached in the first place (and probably never will) even with all the free invites they're getting.
However you turn it, that comment was just a cheap jab and has no validity or relevance in the slightest.

I´m not going to jump on the liquid hate train, but your statement makes it sound, that Mouz only looks for good results and kicks players without them. This paints a false picture of the team IMO.
Looking at the departed players of Mouz you have three groups of players:
1. Players who left the team on their own wish to walk other paths in their gaming career (White-Ra / Strelok) 2. Players who went inactive (Dreiven, Ghosta, Rasowy) 3. Players, who still play, but couldn´t bring the necessary commitment. This can be because of lacking motivation (Naama according to his own statements) or simple lack of time (Paranoid, Syck, Lomo)
This is just my view as a spectator, who follows the team for around a decade now, but I think what you need to be part of Mouz is talent, effort and commitment. If you have that, you don´t need to always post amazing results. You are allowed to get into a slump like Hasu at the beginning of this year or Mana for a few months last year. They also won´t force you to take part in every tourney you could, if you prefer to train more and be perfectly set for the tournaments you want to play (Morrow). What they want to see, is that you work hard and are willing to play when you are needed.
A perfect example for that iw team leagues. Mouz fields their A-roster for nearly every match. From time to time you see only three of them and Bigs as solid back up. That shows commitment from their top players.
In this regard Mouz is not really different to liquid. Just like Mouz, they have players who have a hard time occasionally, but are willing to work their butt off to get out of their slumps. This is, what is important for them. The only player of liquid, who is a little bit of a special case is Tyler/Nony, but he is a community figure who contributes in other ways to the team.
Now in regards of the Korean players at liquid:
Liquid was the first team that made ties to the Korean scene with their corporation with oGs. This allowed foreigners to compete there. It is only right, that liquid profits from this ties and strengthens their roster. As long as they don´t become a complete mercenary team, their way of doing things is absolutely legit. Mouz chooses another way for their SC II squad, but it is far from being the only right one.

Thorzain was bought a mere few months before HerO, that hardly makes him a founding member of Mousesports. Likewise, Naama, Lomo, Rafa and a few other players on the roster who weren't doing well left the team, whereas Liquid kept all their players regardless of results.
Take from that what you will.
Naama left because Virus offered him better support/more money than Mouz (although they didn't keep their promises), at least that's what he said in an interview. And afaik Syck was kicked because of lacking motivation, after he dropped out of the EAS because he didn't want to play anymore.

Are you hating on us for bringing up talented players, and having them foster and reach new heights in our team, or are you saying we weren't good one year ago, when Jinro finished Ro4 GSL and Ret won Assembly?

LOL... I remember a certain Protoss DH and HSC champion...
They would have kept him if they had the choice...
If I were Team Liquid manager, I would have locked HuK in for 10 years.

How did they buy Zenio? HE WAS TEAMLESS... Also if you read the thing about when HerO joined liquid Thewind didn't seem to be mad and they said they had been negotiating with them for a long time before they actually acquired him. Also Mouz got Thorzain from Prae...

Prae disbanded. And buying korean players does not, in any way, automatically imply that the ex-coach is gonna go mad and throw a tantrum. Only a certain coach does that. So, not sure what your point is.
Mousesports, I like... At least it seems their players care about their team. The same is to say about Empire. The players may not bring in the top results in single leagues, but they manage to shine in team leagues. Even against teams with players who seem to be out of their leagues...
But I still do not like the Bo1 format of NASTL. Play a Bo3! No need to broadcast all of the matches. Since you cast from replays, edit it.
Sorry for bad wording and grammar. Feel free to correct at will.

However you turn it, that comment was just a cheap jab and has no validity or relevance in the slightest.
Chill out dude. He has an opinion, is there something wrong with that? It is pretty valid and very relevant, and if the head of TL is going to get pissed off because of a comment like that...idk. something's wrong with the world then.
I don't read anger in Nazgul's reply and i doubt he'd be angry about that, but he does care, and it's his good right to reply this person, to bad your trying to drama it up though.
And off all teams that aquired koreans Liquid is unique, that some fail to see this is rather unfortunate.
In the end though what are we talking about ? Mouz is a solid and great team they chose there path like liquid did with oGs and Korea, both are bearing there fruits just in a different way. Same could be said about Empire and many more.
OT : Grats Mouz ! I knew last year performances were no fluke, glad to see Hasu winning again to, the dude is great.

Seriously, who hates TLO?
A lot of Germans.
good to know! ;-) if anything, then the average german is disappointed in his results because other germans are delivering better results. he could have done so much. Being on team liquid, he had everything he needed to become a legend...

I'm kind of obviously responding to the guy who said "that comment was just a cheap jab and has no validity or relevance in the slightest" when it was clearly an opinion stated to Liquid'Nazgul by somebody else on the team. I'm saying that I don't believe think Nazgul will be pissed off about a comment like that because people are entitled to their own opinions. Please read before mindlessly posting and trying to stir up drama. Thanks.
