Dun underestimate GSL(its the highest level tournament besides blizz). Stephano did beat DRG(did a dumb all-in) and Hero in Blizzard Cup but he lost to MC and MVP.

Good to see July still kicking and fighting. Tough day for eg though...

Others like DRG or MC who got their spots through similar stuff are still in.

Its an international industry, and HuK and IdrA can speak english. Why would anyone pay big for Bumblebee when he cannot even pronounce Steel Series?

I don't know if you were watching, but this was Code A friend. You're essentially shitting all over their achievements because of the way they were invited to Code S. They have proved their capabilities time and time again but people constantly fall into the same old cycle of insulting them for not "earning spots" via code B. As for current results and the whole undeserved argument, everybody has slumps. (See: Nestea). I would go on but it will fall on deaf ears, because apparently hating foreigners is in vogue.

Underwhelming play by the EG foreigners. Just seems like they don't prepare adequately for the GSL (prepare against the specific player). Specially from the interviews, it felt like Idra was "lol zerg isn't supposed to win anyway so I'll just do my thing and if I loose its because I'm supposed to", and Huk was "the other dude's got nerve issues, he'll be nervous and I'll win because of it"...I dunno...just seems that for someone who's so intimately familiar with how the Korean preparation for the GSL works, they approach the games the wrong way (which probably explains why they do seemingly better in the MLG style formats where you can't really prepare for the specific player).

I'm not arguing about whether they deserved their spots or not, but that they "proved" themselves via MLG/other events. Obviously, Idra/HuK are obviously only ones that have actually showed that they can compete in Code S (and I believe Idra deserves the seed), but to say that they belong in Code S because they have beaten Koreans at foreign/online events is preposterous.

yeah, half a year ago. What was morrow doing back then? Oh never mind :p! It will be an interesting match. Maru is very young and so nerves may play their part. But skillwise he is definately not below morrow. Overhyping foreigners, only because they are foreigners only, leads to big disappointment when they lose. People should stop with that! I'm not saying Maru will crush Morrow, because that's just unreasonable too. It will be a close interesting match imo. Nothing to be predicted easily.

Uhhh,i do agreed with you but did Nestea go through a slump? From what i know, he is the ONLY player that never drop down to Code A.Losing 1 or 2 games does not mean slumping.MVP or MC would have been a better example.Just saying.

GSL needs foreign seeds because foreigners are unlikely to come to Korea just to play in the qualifiers, where failure is very likely. You can definitely make a good argument for both idra and huk's seeds.

Hard to "prove yourself" in Korea when your competition is normally against 2rd rate foreigners. Honestly that's my problem with these Code-S invites.
