So is Jinro vs Moonglade vs Cruncher vs Cloud gonna be a 4 way FFA?

How many of these are going to be forfeits?
It would be dumb for IdrA/Huk to actually play. They should both forfeit. If they take the 8th and 10th seed... they won't play each other in round 1. If they both play and one of them wins while the other loses, they face each other in round 1 (not good for EG). Anyways, if they both lose they know their round 1 opponent (IdrA vs. Strelok; Huk vs. Hasu). Those are 2 MUs both of them are very comfortable with.
Basically, point of my post, how many of these matches are going to be a forfeit?

4-way ties (and we do have one of those) will be determined by a Bo1 bracket

What about Demuslim vs. Puma?

For S1 they created a 4-man single elimination bracket (don't remember if it was BO1 or BO3). But they will almost certainly do the same thing here.
EDIT: OP says BO1.
|
I didn't know that they had changed the system from top 2 in every group advancing.
Was confused to see Hasu (3rd place in his group) there for a while.
|
Yea grand finals seeding seems to be all sorts of screwed up. HerO is obviously #1 (he was 7-0) so no arguments there. But DeMusliM and PuMa were both 6-1 (12-4) but he's listed as 9th while demuslim is 2nd. There should be a tiebreaker there for 2nd/3rd shouldn't there :S
Honestly the seeding in both places (here and that thread) seems off to me. Unless the standings in liquipedia are wrong..

Going into the last week he was third at the time, but he was guaranteed to make top 2 because dimaga/puma (1st and 2nd at the time) were facing each other. One of them had to drop to third.
|
Yeah I'm looking at the standings page on NASL.tv and it's not consistent with what's going on here and in the NASL Grand Finals thread.
Someone from NASL swoop in and tell us which of the three is correct.
edit: NASL.tv was the culprit!

NASL.tv still has Hasu in 3rd place so I assumed that was correct.
Should've known to look at Liquipedia for the most accurate and up to date info. :p
|
according to liquipedia the standings i got are:
1 - Hero; 7-0; 14-2 2/3 - Puma/Demuslim; 6-1; 12-4 4/5 - Sen/Morrow; 6-1; 12-5 6/7 - Idra/Hasu; 5-2; 12-5/11-4 (7 games over 50% W/L) 8 - BratOk; 5-2; 12-6 9/10 - Huk/Strelok; 5-2; 11-6/10-5 (5 games over 50% W/L)
so this thread has the correct match ups just the wrong seed numbers. Also, it's missing the Puma vs Demuslim match up. i didn't bother checking the playoff seeding.

hmm. i guess morrow will play terran. you might consider correcting it. Other than that, awesome games coming up. sen vs morrow. hell yeah. idra hasu. fuck yeah.
e: how awesome would a FFA actually be. I mean, who wouldn't watch that? seriously.

The players listed on the thread is not their actual seeding. Seeding works this way:
1st place in the groups are seeded 1-5... 2nd places are seeded 6-10.
This is why PuMa has a higher seed than DeMusliM despite them having the same record and points. Hope this makes sense~

Additionally, everything on the site should be correct, except for 2 things:
Demuslim vs Vibe (2-1) Kiwikaki vs SjoW (2-1)
For some reason, these matches refuse to register to the overall score for the players involved. We are looking into it, but the results are as stated.
[Edit] Fixed!

Looks like it is going to be Demuslim vs. Thorzain in the first round as they are seeds 6 and 11 respectively.
Sucks, as they are two of the players I was most looking forward to doing well in the tournament, but looks like one of them is going home after round 1.

If they can get the players to agree to it, I don't see how an FFA would be a bad thing.

Is that okay to say? That he would purposely lose the game?

Ret vs Haypro qxc vs Nightend
Mana vs Socke Kiwikaki vs Cloud
Sheth vs Sjow TT1 vs Cruncher
Hwangsin vs Moonglade Select vs Jinro

lol, select too fucking good that was 3 games that he probably should have lost at some point ^^ nice deserved seed!

Everytime I tune in it looks like Select should be dead but somehow he just wins. I wonder if Hwangsin can pull it off this game.

No, unfortunately, HasuObs forfeited his match to IdrA, due to being tired from traveling.

If Huk loses... he will be playing Idra in first round of finals. Nasty
And I guess if he wins he'll be playing hasuobs - who eliminated him from first round of TSL3.

5 ghosts can't obliterate that many archons like they used to be able to. You need to hit every archon 3 times to turn them into wet tissue paper, and they're hardly small.

He dropped almost 50 supply in that last battle, and that was from 8 ghosts + 40 bio units
If select was maxed out, he would have just threw the game away, he would have got completely crushed that battle and been dead before he could remax

It's certainly not a good usual army composition, but in the position that Select was in, it didn't really matter.
But my point was just that to effectively emp Archons, you need almost twice as many ghosts as you previously did. Against as many Archons as Hwangsin had 10+ would be wanted.
|
That looked very very easy from Huk
Strelock seemed to have like no units at any point in that game
