Now that I see those games, I'm not sure if the patch was really needed. But maybe Terran had stopped practicing TvP because it was too easy for them: just bust out a random one base all in for your one GSL game to stay in Code S. Now with the new system and new maps (this one seems harder for T for example), it may force them to actually improve their skill in that matchup.
Well if Protoss becomes overpowered after the patch, it will still be time to remove some upgrade, like storm for example

OMG ZvP 100% winrate for Zerg!!!! Now THAT is imbalance!!
In other news, lets go Puzzle!! Take down this July dude!

Hellions wouldn't be better? you can't build hellions when you go MMMVG.
Generally you have a factory if you have vikings and medivacs, getting blue flame probably wouldn't work because of the gas cost but unless there's something I'm missing a player could easily grab some (edit: red flame) hellions out of it.

Hellions wouldn't be better? zealots actually own hellions unless you are really microing a large pack of hellions, in which case your bio isn't being microed and is eating storms and collosus shots. The answer in Clides case on that map should have been Ghosts and lots of them. At several points he had over 1000 gas saved up and at one point near 2000! Ghosts with EMP and +3 weapons deal massive damage to zealots (and other light units)
Huk had too many Colossi for that. Ghosts die pretty fast to them.

Zealots, well there's not exactly much to maximise there except keeping them in the front (which is easy to do with a low stalker count). the thing with colossi is:
keeping them alive and protect them, while they deal damage. if you dont, they are a tons of wasted money. try it out and you will understand.

I don't think that really works, Clide had an earlier third and an earlier fourth + a huge supply lead but wasn't able to convert it into anything.
The choke into the nat makes it pretty hard to punish toss even if you have an advantage and once they have a 3base eco rolling it's never easy to break.
Jjakji tried to damage Killer's 3base with some drop play but Killer had a very nice set up with defensive cannons + stalkers behind the mineral lines so couldn't get anything done.
I'm not really sure what's the best way to punish Toss on that map, it's like Tal'darim but it's very hard to get a good late game engage on for T given there's a lot of paths rather than a lot of open space.
Will be interesting to see how TvP pans out in the future on it, and whether we see more toss just trying to 3base turtle with double ups on most maps.

Those are not great TvP's . Protoss will win 95% of those long games . Couldn't agree less... Due to mechanic of EMP and snipe. Terran with same control will destroy protoss late deathball. However, both sides have to micro...A LOT. tank with zealots, blinkstalkers on vikings, spread and manualy use storms, protect colosi... Same on T side. Except that its easier with AoE EMP and higher range snipe. errr, Storm/Feedback isn't that much worst than EMP/Snipe, especially with decent spread of your templars like Huk did, or with Warp prism (which Huk didn't use), especially with the recent emp range nerf. That aside, a fully upgraded max P deathball is definitely stronger than a T's main army

Clide could have won that easily if he bothered to use his ghosts more.

and then you have 0/0 red flame hellions with not enough infrastructure to even mass them. good idea.

But redflame Helions with 0-0 i doubt that does any good to 3-(?)-3 Protoss armies.

His PvT is more turtlish, which is not very fun to watch, but I agree, Killer may very well have played his games better. But again, Virus and jjakji are not top tier Terrans (Clide neither I guess but he's here since the beginning).
