This has to be the most embarrassing thing that Tastosis has never done. This will scar them for life.
It actually hurts my stomach to watch this. My breath is actually being taken away by how bad this is, i just want to die.

Isn't this tournament being played on SEA where patch 1.4.2 just went live? Considering Naniwa disappeared from the scene when he went to practice in Korea, and came out at Blizzcon narrowly losing to Nestea and Sen, and beating the likes of Major, Sen (in WB bracket) and Dimaga, I think it's fair to say that you're wrong. I guess we'll find out when he plays his 3rd time seeded into GSL Code A. Doesn't change the fact that of the limited tournaments he's been in, he's done pretty well.

Wonder if he plays the same way as well. He is probably not as baller as Choya, though.

Isn't this tournament being played on SEA where patch 1.4.2 just went live? Right now Huk, Idra, and Stephano are the foreigners to watch. They actually win their games against Koreans, so it's not just all hype when we hear about them being good. Too many other foreigners we always hear are so good, but then they just don't put up the results. 3'rd and 4th place respectively at blizzcon are nothing for Sen and Naniwa to sneeze at. Neither won but they both put up impressive performances. Both Naniwa and Sen have beaten Koreans before, but they are admittedly not as consistent as players like Huk are in regards to beating korean players. Sase has also taken series off korean players and is particularly impressive when his nerves don't get the better of him. I'd say everyone is worth watching just because no one is truly consistent, most foreigners have brief dominant periods followed by 2-3 month long slumps where they do terrible.

The game is always changing and players are always getting better. We can only judge the relative strength of players based on recent results. Incontrol managed to win 4th at an MLG at the beginning of the year but was quickly revealed to be the 3rd tier player he is. Old results mean nothing about how a player compares to other players today. I'm sure Naniwa can be good, but he has to prove he still has it by winning something or at least beating a lot of notable people in the present. Sen was good beat, but Major and Dimaga are highly inconsistent themselves. The rest of the line up at Blizzcon was mediocre. Naniwa's 3rd run at a GSL Code A seed is his time to prove himself.

Overall this is a learning experience for everyone in the world about how not to hold an event. I appreciate IPL for trying their best and putting effort into this. The on-site production seems very decent, and I expect nothing less from IGN. They are a really good company, but this event was a mistake.

How did his run at Blizzcon not prove anything? Nestea is THE best Zerg in the world and he took 1 game off of him. And GSL is one of the most competitive tournaments in the world and a lot of it also depends on the luck of the draw. Look at Select and Sjow. Can you say they're better than Naniwa? Select maybe, Sjow definitely no. But yet he made it to the Ro16 and Nani didn't. It was just the fact that they were matched up against weaker opponents or benefited from the racial imbalance (due to the metagame at that point).
