As for the crowd, it was pretty loud. The stream probably couldn't hear it, but we were responding to Tastosis.

- The people at the ticket counter had NO idea what they're doing. I came in pretty early, they didn't know if they were still selling VIP tickets and they just dismissed me when I started asking questions. They didn't know if they should give people regular passes. They don't even know what benefits a regular pass comes with. When I voiced out my concerns in the PPSL facebook page, it was ignored then suddenly deleted. Looking at their FB page it looks like they just take down all negative comments altogether. WTF? - When I FINALLY got my VIP ticket, I didn't get most of what came with it (i.e., meet and greet with the gamers and pictures and autographs with them). It looked like the organizers didn't actually have a specific plan for all those...like they just wrote all those things in the facebook page with no intention of actually doing it. I never even saw them try, no one ever talked to us, not once. People just resorted to ambushing Tastosis whenever they could. - Huuuuge props to Allyn Hoang. She really did her best, tried to entertain a very tired audience, and was seriously running around trying to get shit done. She asked us off-camera during the delays what we wanted to see in the meantime. She staged the showmatches and I even saw her helping set up the camera in that teeny little dress of hers. - The crowd wasn't as quiet as it looked like on stream. Especially from the late afternoon onwards people were pretty loud and were cheering quite enthusiastically everytime Tastosis asked them to. People went crazy during the Sen-Naniwa games. I'm not sure why the cheers weren't picked up by the camera. - The organizers were the epitome of failure. Every after one game (not even one set), there were tech people inside the booth doing who knows what. I have no clue what was taking so long even after we knew the internet was back up. It was the IGN staff---the people who were not even in Manila and who were not even directly respoinsible for setting up the event---who were updating us from twitter and their posts here in TL! We got ZERO updates from the AZK team: not from the venue, not from their twitter, and not from their facebook page. All they were posting were how awesome the games were. They had to have some serious blinders not to acknowledge all that delay. - We had no idea all the other games in the group had already been played. No one told us. Not even a "by the way, MC won a game against so-and-so". We didn't see MC, Inca, Check, MKP, or Fruitdealer on stage. What a waste. I'm still going tomorrow anyway. Maybe because I'm just a glutton for punishment, and maybe just because I'm holding out on the hopes that maybe we can actually see the players on stage.

Well in the first game he researched hallucination instead of warp gate first (it was definitely a mistake because he made no sentries and was doing a 2 base all-in) and in the second game unscouted one base baneling bust against FFE.

That is fucking disgraceful and it's bullshit that AZK aren't held to account at all. And yea, it wouldn't surprise me that AZK/PPSL is fucking things up. Any organisation that has ziek/zanooku as one of it's members is probably more slippery than an eel in a bucket of shit..

Ouch. Jabito might go through his group but it's extremely unlikely. And yea, every other Philipino player fell to the Koreans 2-0. Which isn't surprising of course; they're Korean! Enderr, Jabito and maybe Blazer are decent players but I wouldn't rate any other Philipino player (I might be wrong of course, I do not closely follow the philipino scene.) The only South East Asian player, excluding Taiwan which is too insular for me to comment on at all, who can dance with the koreans still remains moonglade. Who managed to lose to Rossi and Yoon in the qualifiers... somehow.

Group A - Sen and Naniwa advances. - one bye. - Local player out Group B - MC and MKP with 1-0 each - the best Local Player (unfortunately in this group of death) Enderr with 1-1 - i think this group is not done yet Group C - Check and Sickness advances - Local player Dane beats check in 1 game Group D - Two Koreans, js and Fruitdealer, advances from the group - Two local players eliminated. Group E - Two AZK players advances out of groups - Two players were bye. Group F - Sase and Moon advances - Two local players eliminated Group G - results still unclear expect for a Notable local player (Jabito) losing to Whale and inca already. Group H - Rossi and Soccer takes the group - Two local players drop out.

That is disgraceful of AZK, I have totally lost respect for that team after not allowing yoon, who is clearly a far better player, to participate in this event.

Maybe because I'm just a glutton for punishment, and maybe just because I'm holding out on the hopes that maybe we can actually see the players on stage. That is quite accurate, I think at least day 1 was a disaster. As mentioned above; everyone who bought the VIP passes literally got ripped off, luckily I opted not to get one as i felt they were overselling them (selling more tickets than there were reserved seats available). Results of the non broadcasted matches were not mentioned, major lag on a lot of the matches and just a terrible experience for the spectators. Overall I think the organizers were a bit unprofessional when it came to handling the situation. Seems like they spent whatever budget they have on trying to bring in as much big names as they can, but couldn't back it up with competent people behind the camera. Hoping for a big improvement on day 2.
