But this MLG was just the biggest tourney win so far outside korea. I mean sure you lacked some big names both koreans and foreigners but the people present and the koreans present was just insane.
and Huk winning his group is just amazing. Look at Idra who had the easiest group possible and still did not finish on top. Huk is just a monster!
Well deserved and congrats Huk!
It isn't fair to count Stephano out for his results, as he had to play from the Open Bracket.
Idra went 9-3 in his group, the same as Huk. Huk was just lucky that Hero lost to July, otherwise he'd have been 2nd in his group, and who knows what would have happened from there...
Assuming all other matches played out the same, he'd have had to win what he did, on top of a BO3 vs HongUn, Idra, Bomber, and possibly another against TheStC, in order to win the top prize. That's quite a stretch.
You cannot simply rate players based on their placements in the tournament, there's too much luck / outside factors involved. I mean, just last week Idra placed above Huk in IPL. The only conclusion you can make from these results is they're both among the top-top foreigners.
Anyway, grats to MKP for entertaining his fans, MC on Code S, Idra / Boxer / TheStC for proving themselves, and Huk for winning the whole thing. Amazing results this MLG, my favorite players all showing such awesome games, I couldn't really ask for more...
congrats to Huk for winning his next major tournament, congrats to Idra for being one of the last foreigner's hope, congrats to MC for regaining code S as promised, congrats for theStC on giving such a brilliant show in his first major tournament, same to MarineKing for finishing so high in his first foreign event, congrats to Boxer for that awesome picture. This was undoubtely one of the best MLG's yet.
To some negative stuff, does anybody know what was going on with Tasteless? He did not listen to what Artosis said and repeated several things that were already said by him.

Oh please ... stop posting like that. Stephano won a effing packed tournament. If you say MMA, StC, Ryung, Hero, Sleep, MC ... arent good(top) KR i really dont know what forgeigners need to prove.
Awesome MLG, grats to Idra to preforming awesome again! <3<3
I went to bed as soon IdrA lost to MC because I had to get up early, glad to see HuK could do it, congratulations you beast!!! And big congratulations to EG for 3 players in top8 HuK Winner IdrA 4th Puma 7th
Impresive, the team doesnt disapoint me Now I want that sweatshirt IdrA was wearing >.>
What a great MLG, MC gets his code S, and Boxer putting up a great show. I didn't expect him to win, but I was screaming like a little girl when he managed to pull the score back to 3-3. Great showing by the Emperor, your dedication is an inspiration to us all.
Bomber Idra series was highly entertaining as well, both players showed insane macro, too bad Bomber tried to be cute and go mass marines in game 3, would have liked to see him advance further and play Huk.

I don't know, that sounds completely standard for Tasteless.

I agree that was not fair against Stephano who actually won a pretty big win. Idras tourney win still was vs low level koreans though.
And as for the group, Huk had a stacked group and came out on top. Idra had the easiest group but did not. All games count and Huk did beat MKP that idra lost to for the nr spot so Huk got what he deserved and not due to luck.
Huk was simply really good and showed that he is the nr1 player. He now has Dreamhack win and MLG orlando and he beat top players to prove it.

Lol the guy is just saying that about Stephano and Idra because he started off his sentence and realized he forgot about Stephano/Idra and made up some bs that supported his original idea.
awesome MLG!!! strong performance by a lot of foreigners. IdrA had an amazing run ("gg"ing every time and show great skill), HuK winning the bromance finals versus MC (who got back into Code S) and very entertaining casts. Big Thanks to everyone involved.

Nah I forgot who was in the tourney stephano won, that was legit and he is an amzing player. Idras IEM china tourney was not that huge tbh. Huks Dreamhack, Stephanos win was alot bigger. I think Dimaga won something with koreans in it also with bigger names.
Though all in all this is the biggest win for a non korean ever simple as that.
I just cant understand why Thestc is stuck in code B.
No idea what people see in TheStC. I think he's benefiting from the Tester effect. Both of them were beasts in the Beta but then didn't get to play for awhile (StC because of military, Tester because of getting cheesed out in the GSL preliminaries). Everyone just assumed they were still gosu beasts but when they finally got back the overall skill level had increased to the point where they weren't anything special anymore.
well i think coming from the open bracket to finish 3rd at mlg and finishing 3rd in the ipl i'd say thats special
unless you want him to shoot fireworks out of his ass every time he wins
God this MLG was stunning and by far the most entertaining in my opinion. So many awesome stories like;
BoxeR showing he's still one of the best and making it really far. IdrA proving that IEM wasn't a fluke. He is one of the best Zergs and has taken his game to a new level. Except for ZvP (or perhaps just vs MC) where his decision making seem to falter. Stephano coming from the open bracket, ripping nerds to left and right and making it really far. This guy is legit. SaSe's practice paying off. When he's on the top of the game, his play is really breathtaking. Even if he didn't go all the way this time, he proved he's got the ability to do so. MC retaking the title of Protoss President, and making it back to Code S where he belongs. ..and of course HuK for destroying the competition and winning the whole thing. He's such a baller.
So, the award ceremony was pretty epic. I guess HuK doesn't exactly seem taller when he's lined up with 7 giants.

You're not giving IdrA enough credit and/or not giving Marine King enough credit.
IdrA 4-0'd his entire group until Marine King was placed into his pool from the open bracket. The only person IdrA lost to in his group was Marine King.
