On ladder. Close positions in ZvP is horribly zerg favored for anything past the 5 minute mark, as roaches are balanced early game around being slow to walk across the map and warpgates ignore distance. I havnt seen a roach/ling all in held on close positions ever, i think, but 4gate is held just as normal, as the same units are in your base at the exact same time, ignoring travel. Of course the advantage shifts back to protoss at 30+ minutes, but zerg has it for the entire midgame and usually wins there at a high level | ||
