He would have held vs Virus in G1 with +1 range. Berieve it or not

I think DRG, Losira, July, Coca and Leenock are all getting out of their groups. Not sure about the Protosses though

Even trading units + scan per DT, the gas just limited Huk's tech and units too much. If Huk warped in some archons it might have been different, the zealots tanked a good amount of time and his army was so bunched in.
Mmmmm - I think it was more about the huge amount of units HuK lost in that first push he BARELY held.

Round of 16 will have at least 8 Terrans (7 already qualified) and Group H has 3 Terrans, so one will advance 100%. Genius, HongUn, Killer... Please safe the Protoss race in Code S!

I'm just curious, Huk always manages to stick with Code S by the skin of his teeth. I always recall him in the up or downs or just barely avoiding it. Yet, the casters always say he "favored" or "one of the best."
Why? I know internationally where there are less Koreans he has done well and has taken down MC at Homestory, but in the GSL he's always been meh...
Artosis always disses on guys like Ensnare, Zenio etc who have been staples of Code S, but wouldn't Huk be more or less on the same level? Admittedly, he gets alot of lucky breaks in the up/downs avoiding code A several times.

So if Protoss does something risky its not a straight up game as well? .. OK. I'm out of here. GL!
If you consider straight up game when one does risk strategy and is down in economy then fine for you. Your just too bias.

DT expand is just so risky. Pretty much loses straight up to a 1/1/1, and even if the Terran isn't going 1/1/1 it relies on them being bad and not knowing when to build a turret. Even forcing 1 scan per DT really isn't that great of a trade.
Basically, straight up build-order loss.

Huk's DT play looked more like an attempt to force Virus to either burn scans or take the time and resources to make a Raven to me. The time it takes to swap out a Reactor for a Tech Lab and get a Raven out is enough time to produce 4 Medivacs.

YAY! I do when quality Terrans play it. We still got MVP, Ryung, Clide, MMA, Bomber and a handul of others to look forward to :D
YAY!
And don't forget Leenockl! I know he's not Terran but he's still pretty good. DRG is pretty good too.
But i love TvT more than TvZ!!!
:D :D :D

now its winner of mvp-bomber vs nestea in the ro8

Did you watch Game 1? He would have probably been able to take out the tanks in the second push and would have had a much easier time with the first had his immortals had more range.

Him making the ro8 last season was a total fluke. Those games versus Nada were just abominable, from both of them. He's still the only foreigner in code S, and that's good enough, especially playing the race he does.
To be fair that "fluke' may be the farthest any protoss goes since hongun in july, and he lost to mvp that was bending everyone over...
Because honestly hong un is the only p that looks like they have a chance of making it out of group stages this time
7 of 8 advancing so far t's get ready for more tank wars, i mean sc2.

NesTea is the only hope zergs and protoss' have.

Bad luck HuK. I hope you make it next season

so from ro16 its basicly going to be only t v t and t v nestea, GG. IMO they should just make everyone spawn as random in tournaments, would be so much fun and no one couls complain about the other race being op.

The strength of the 1-1-1 isn't just the build, but that Protoss players have to prepare for it either way, because they can't be sure whether its coming or not. Giving Terran a huge advantage if they're aiming for a macro game. Hope NesTea destroys Virus.
You do know that 1-1-1 involes a fast starport with a techlab and pretty consistent scouting / harass with banshees . DT's are basically a BO-loss 100%. Fast DT's is not good against anyone getting dection , you'll have no units against a push be it 1 or 2 base he does with his detection or superior unit count.

I don't remember those group games specifically, but the meta game for PvT wasn't in the state it is in right now. And as far as I remember, he got pretty lucky with his opponents every time in code S so far. He can compete in code S and sometimes get through the group stage, but I think Huk is in his place right now. He's by no means a finalist or close to it.
Yeah he only destroyed Nada, but who is that anyways? Prolly some nobody i guess.

It's ok, immos will still be stuck behind stalkers after getting 6 range.. which is exactly the same as stalkers.
If they wanted to fix the dancing problem, shoulda given it 7 range, then it can be even vs siege tanks default 7 range.
