It has come to my attention that MLG Orlando will be happening at the same time as this event. As a result I will ask Tim to play the stream during the event, so that no one miss's out on it!
YOU CAN GEEEEEEEEET OUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTT
Hey Shiro I have to go to a summer student talk that won't finish until after 4 pm can I still participate?
What kinda map pool we looking at? MLG in honour of Orlando? Queue Prodig ICCUP plug.
Is frozenopolis going to be in the map pool? Always wanted to play on an ice map
I am thinking that we could mix some MLG and ICCUP maps. I will post them later
woo another Edmonton event! ill be there defending edmontons honour vs the evil calgaryians
was thinking of using this map...
lmao, thats the funniest thing i've seen in a while.
Ok I'm taking map suggestions now
Glad to see your still supporting the long lasting tradition of tournaments when i work zz
The 15th is also the same day as MLG orlando, would hurt turnout as people like to watch MLG events.
That is true, but we can have the stream playing during the event ^^
As always MLG maps plz :D
wow look at that map pool, looks like i gotta start learning on new maps lol.
Map pool looks fine, sorry about not getting back to you it slipped my mind. A PM is a really good way of getting ahold of me if you ever need to though. Cya saturday.

Great map pool, always good to see some innovation.
HOWEVER, is the Bel-shir beach map going to be the newest version (from oct. gsl) or the older version (from may-aug gsl)?

HOWEVER, is the Bel-shir beach map going to be the newest version (from oct. gsl) or the older version (from may-aug gsl)? Latest version. Older version is very Zerg favored and why the changes were made (new version has only one ramp leading into the natural)
If there are multiple versions of the map up on bnet atm we'll find an official map list so you know which ones to host (Mapname + publisher vs just mapname)

For everyone in the Edmonton community who isn't already aware, we have an active and vibrant fighting game scene as well and today we are streaming SSF4:AE and MvC3 on http://www.twitch.tv/edmontongamers for the Blue Like Candy tournament.
If you're in Edmonton or the surrounding area come and check it out here at OverKlocked (same venue all of the SC2 tournaments - including this one - are at)
EDIT: Fakesteve is here. Now is your chance to witness the glory of a TL moderator in all of his fleshy goodness

Large screen tv will be running MLG, and prodigy will probably be sitting beside you screaming in your ear GEEEEEEEGEEEEE! Pizzas might be ordered... either by lan owner or by everyone chipping in.

Looks like a cool event. Some quick questions:
Can I come even though I suck (mid-plat)? Do I have to bring my own computer? If I do have to bring my own computer, do I have to DL all maps in advance?

It's at a LAN center, so no you don't have to bring your computer. It is recommended that you bring your own Keyboard, Mouse, Mousepad and Headset if you're really anal about what you're using. Overklocked has Steelseries 7G Keyboard, Ikari Mouse, 9HD Mousepad and Siberia headphones at every station so if you're okay with using those (All I ever bring to events like this is usually a mouse and mousepad). If you bring your own computer or monitor, you won't be able to use it so don't even bother.
You can definitely come even though you "suck" - There are many players entering the tournament from Bronze to Diamond if only for the invaluable tournament experience as well as the ability to learn from players who are better then them in person.
