I'd put SeleCT's TvP over Thorzain, but Thorzain has the best overall mechanics with Terran that I've seen from a foreigner.

His strength is still his strength (his macro), and it isn't over-the-top awesome to make up for his weaknesses, which he really hasn't improved on much at all. He has stayed pretty stagnant in a field where everyone else has improved drastically.

He admitted to practicing 3 hours or less (on the NA server no less) while other top foreigners like Huk, Nani, Thorzain and others trained their butt off to catch up. IdrA is my favorite player but he deserves his placements right now. He slacked and now hes paying for it. Even a prime IdrA would have had trouble with this tourney though, thats how stacked it was. Hopefully his improved training and his eventual return to Korea will see him return to his a standard hes used to. But thats only if hes motivated enough to get back to the top.

I really loved watching Hero v Idra G2, that was masterful harass w warp prisms, army positioning, etc.

His vZ and vP is not as good as his vT so hopefully he works on that too. I don't know if you can say that just based off 1 bo3 b/w mvp and bomber. (However, MVP probably has best tvz in world.) Would need a larger sample size. As for MMA, drg currently leads the series in that by 1 game. 1-1 gstl, 1-2 mlg, 2-0 ipl qualifiers.

His main weakness seemed to be that early-almost midgame drop to the main where thorzain unloaded crapload of units and killed SO much with it, two times.

It's borderline godly, so incredibly hard to stop or counter his play style as terran, he has perfect creepspread, perfect exp-timings, perfect muta micro, even the games he lost and said GG he didnt even lose his mutas , he still had them on the field pretty much. Yea it's crazy how good his ZvT is, but Thorzain is just a monster at all matchups lol. I really want to see how Thorzain stands up to other top level koreans now that he's been practicing a lot.

I realize it was very hard to do, but I don't think it's harder than what top Terrans do with their Medivac harass. So, I hope we see the metagame move Protoss play in this direction.

Godamn that whitehaired girl is awesome ! Also didn't lag for shit during the entire tournament, best 0.15 cents I ever spent. Other than that, idra did shit but meh thorzain didn't play that good but neither did anyone else so... still fun to watch but wasn't alot of nail biting moments

We are working hard with Twitch to completely iron them out by the time Dreamhack Winter is here. Promise! probably a good place to start

While this is true, there is also the other factor we obviously can't ignore. The fact that the majority of his ZvP practice is against Axslav and Incontrol certainly doesn't come close to being useful against someone like HerO. I would even argue that he has done "Okay" for someone being in the US. Obviously though, leaving the Korean server can't be good for your skill level. I think even if he practices for 12 hours a day in the US, he wouldn't be much better than he is now. He would still lose to the same people, because those people are practicing for 10-12 hours a day on the Korean server, in Korean team houses, and against top Korean pros.

I don't blame Idra for this, I blame EG. They were the ones who were ok with him playing 3 hours a day on NA server and ok with him having practice partners like Incontrol and Axslav. Hopefully their recent moves in getting Puma, Huk, and sending Idra back to Korea are a realization of their errors.

Well it's hard to practice against Hero's PvZ as none of the NA protoss players are mechanical players, they're more strategical. Hero's amazing multi-task style isn't really prominent in the foreign scene and even in the Korean scene,so it was always going to be a tough match for Idra.
