The last sentence doesnt even make sense? Of course he would have lost if the zerg won.
Hero was so far behind and managed to come back with amazing multitask and warpprism harass.

amazing performance by both Hero and Thorzain, DRG is a boss like expected.

Finals was pretty good, Hero vs Idra game 2. Most others were pretty one sided

Still lol to the people who think thorzain has a shot at beating drg.... :D drg will crush his soul...

i feel this statement is unwarranted, especially given that thorzain took 2 games off him

like the last DH invitational it was a great event yesterday. I only watched from the semi finals, but the games were awesome, the production top and I really enjoyed the schedule (game, immediate interview and after a short break the next game).

In my opinion (from the semis point of view) the best 2 players came to the finals and made a great finals. DRG was a little bit better so he deserves the win. I feel just a bit sad for Thorzain because he doesn't get anything for his second place (but on the other hand, for an 8 player inv. it might not be necessary).

looking forward to the next dreamhack!

edit: this is the first time I really saw dApollo and TotalBiscuit together and I must say I really enjoyed it! I haven't been a TB fan last year (I think it was DH winter, but I'm not sure) but yesterday both did a great job!

I wasn't particularly impressed with Thorzain's TvZ, he was still far too slow and passive and his defence against Mutalisk harass was poor.

The games he won were imbalanced spawns on Antiga (which GSL eliminates such is their imbalance), and the Taldarim game which was again favourable spawns and he essentially won the game with a doom drop at the start before proceeding to almost lose because he was so slow to close out the game.

The series reminded me of Nestea vs sC in that it was pretty obvious who the better player was all series and the scoreline suggested a closer series than it really was.

GSL removed those spawns because of how you can siege from the 3rd, ThorZaIN never did that

No, they fixed that anyway. They removed it because the offensive gold is too easy to take and too overpowered for Terran.

That's what makes his TvZ so awesome, he plays it extremely macro based, acting as if he is the zerg and pulls it off.

Does anyone have the ability to look up the 'korean netizen reactions'?
It was a really good event imo. Perfect with foreigner in the finals and everything. I love the korea vs foreigner drama

He doesn't pull it off though. That's why TvZ is his worst match up. It works okay but players like Bomber, MMA and MVP macro better than the Zerg as well (especially Bomber and MVP) but they also play a lot more aggressive and cover their Tanks better with the Marines.

Just watched the VODs and hooooly shit. I am so happy for DongRaeGu and also I am sooo impressed by Thorzain. He is the best foreigner by far and propably the only one in the top 50 players overall. So awesome, too bad he does not like Korea.

Best TvP by far maybe

I'd put SeleCT's TvP over Thorzain, but Thorzain has the best overall mechanics with Terran that I've seen from a foreigner.

Your joking right? Thorzain does not have good mechanics. His macro is fine, but is marine/tank control is so bad, which is kinda why he slow pushes, because he doesn't have the apm to do a qiucker attack (every game he tried to do a tank marine push he failed cus he made so many wrong things, like not having spotters, and bad marine splitting).

Major has much better mechanics than Thorzain.

You are comparing Thorzain to freakin MVP and Bomber, obviusly he´s not as good as them, but he is pretty damn good and he played really good versus one of the best Korean ZvT-players.
