All players were flown to Valencia for free. All players got to stay at a 5 star hotel. All players had their own computers available during the entire event. Top 2 gets wildcards to DH winter. Winner got 15000 USD.
Even idra said they treat you like gods and I would imagine you're pretty well treated if he says something like that xD

In Europe a sip of champagne is no big deal at all. Would americans actually react if someone underage had a sip of champagne?
Its a crime to provide alcohol to anyone not of the legal drinking age. In some states its also a felony. To do it in on TV (or livestream) would be quite bad.
I got to taste beer when I was in kindergarten
Most kids did. And 99.99% of them don't like it, which keeps them off of alcohol for at least a decade or so. Not the point.
The point is, it's just champagne. In basically every part of the world, champagne is used for celebrating. I highly doubt anyone -- even if this took place in America -- is going to get in trouble for giving the winner of $15,000 a sip of alcohol.
Legal age for alcohol is 16 in most european countries. Hard liquor 18. So he's free to drink as much as he wants, even on TV

Oh, yeah, he only went 3-2 against the best ZvT player in the world. I guess DRG showed us wrong for liking such a shitty player!
Moral victory? cool.
You're just being obnoxious for no reason or what? Thorzain did very well, DRG did better but it doesn't mean you need to be a dick to Thorzain or people who are fans of him.
lol
Good post, would read again.
Excellent finals, DRG playing really fucking well and ThorZaIN once again proving to be a leading light in the StarCraft eSports community.

Really sad that Thorzain couldnt take :,( Ah well made for great final, to bad DRG didnt go up against one of the protoss earlier, would have won Thorzain the tournament
To be fair, Dreamhack is never going to come close to MLG. That being said, both tournaments are great!
I think it's cool we're going to hit 500 pages too
MLG has the crowd and Code A/S spots. Dreamhack has production, worlds biggest LAN and best foreigners(EU players mainly).

lol were we watching the same ceremony? DRG not knowing how to open a bottle of champagne was pretty funny/awkward to watch. Especially when they opened it for him and it just fizzled out XD
Finally a tournament with a great finals both players played great. I feel like thorizan had it won but drgs great muta control took to much out as thor tried to slow push and then got Caught with his tanks unsieged for a millisec. That was also a really great build sniping the third before siege and mutas pop and then coming back with a huge timing or marine tank hellion I think on just about any map besides meta cross positions thorizan wins with that push

This is really pathetic. Yeah, alcoholism is promoted by a nerd not knowing how to open a bottle of champagne....
Just don't... wrong... never mention this shit again... 15 legal age for driving (this is actually INSANE, what maturity can a kid of 15 have) 18 to be able to go to the army and make legal decisions, yet 21 to have a sip of beer or champagne...
Don't ever try to bring this topic up ^^
By the way, congrtats to DRG he deserved it!!
You actually managed to miss the entire point of the post you're quoting.
