Don't remember last time a foreigner looked so strong vs the top of the top (not only vs koreans but vs the best koreans).
I BELIEVE!
he won when he killed like 20 drones then just spooned him to death.

The score is 1-1.
Looks like the gap between Koreans and foreigners are getting smaller, whatever the series will end in.
That's what people said when Idra beat MC 2-1 at Columbus.
The gap is still gigantic. There are a few exceptions, but even then, a gigantic gap. Going to take years until foreigners can compete consistently in bigger tournaments.
I agree. Also, considering Thorzain has improved his play through Korean training, if he wins it just shows how effective it is.

Remeber that no matter the skill ceiling there are mutiple expansions which will prolly change the game quite alot. With the korean practice schedule each expansion i think theyll pull far ahead.

Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded. Swedish player in the final of a Swedish competition with coverage from one of their biggest newspaper, a Thorzain win can only be good for ESPORTS growth.

You gotta have your marines grouped, and just go in a large clump, if you see banelings you need to do those quick splits. Slow pushes work in TvP but in TvZ vs a large muta cloud either go more aggresive or make a couple thors or this will be a quick 3-1 series.
They play the matchup totally different. It is like trying to argue with a bio guy to go mech. Some people just like one style over another. Thorzain plays passive and safe TvZ.
That game makes me think of what Nada said in his MLG interview with Slasher, saying that almost all foreign players seem to play overly safe. I need to go back and rewatch that interview.
Well the idea is a player needs to be able to play several different styles, because in this certain situation the way SelecT plays would have worked A LOT better.
I do feel like DGR really knows Thorzain's style, and made the perfect unit composition against it. Thorzain had a good army vs banelings/infestors but instead all he got was mutas and more mutas.
