Obligatory public note for all large tournament threads:

The following is a list of behaviors that will get immediate bans:

1. Whining about stream
2. Bashing other games
3. Flaming other users
4. Bashing players
5. Complaining about imbalance.

It is in no way complete. Keep in mind that there's a difference between pointing out that the SC2 and CoD streams were switched and whining about it (same thing on pointing out/asking about stream lag and whining about it, etc.). Also, just because you post something and aren't immediately banned for it doesn't mean you won't get caught. We'll be going through this thread very carefully.

That being said, enjoy today's games!

Abusing a glitch? That can't possibly be abused, no professional player bases a strategy and a bug like that and says "durpa derp, I hope he uses a forcefield on the exact time I launch a nuke!"

are you saying that you're looking around your ramp for nukes when you should be eye'ing the minimap? He didn't see the red dot because without a warning no progamer will ever look for it to begin with.

IMO it should be twice as big for the guy that gets nuked. And maybe the camera could automatically center on the nuked spot. That would be awesome.

For everyone talking about somehow missing a red dot:

When you're playing starcraft at even a reasonably high level, you don't really see anything on the screen. All the trees on the map could change color and many players wouldn't even notice. You only process what's important to you.

Because nukes come with a warning, there's no reason to look for them unless you hear it. Thus, you don't spend any mental energy on the possibility.

Shows what league you're in when you're suggesting a pro player to look somewhere other than the minimap.

Oh please, usually you post decent stuff but this is bullshit. He was spreading his sentries around and forcefielding the ramp while the red spot was next to his units. Shoulda noticed 100%.

Good players don't stare at some place long enough to notice this, that's something only low apm noobs like us would do.

No. I'm just saying that it is there. He overlooked it and it was his mistake. He's human, he makes mistakes. But you can't blame the game or imbalance... like some people here try to.

There's a huge warning that pops up on the left of your screen whenever a nuke is launched, with a huge picture too... That, and if you watch the replay, Naniwa didn't forcefield when the nuke was launched. Please stop blaming random things on Naniwa's loss.

The most recent one I can think of is Slog vs Hack in GSTL. Basically his army was crushing hack but hack launched a nuke mid battle and Slog didn't have warning so basically after he wins the fight the nuke lands and he loses the game.


Also, Choya vs Jinro last MLG. TLO vs Incontrol too, I think.


Oh snap how could I forget Choya vs Jinro game. Ye almost exact same situation.

He clearly did, though. Why else would you get a nuke that early? He laid the nuke the instant he pushed his bio up the ramp, forcing nani to FF. That was 100% planned.

don't blame rain because the game allowed him to nuke effectively. i dunno what naniwa was doing but not noticing a big red dot when u r a progamer was a big mistake. his eyes should've been focused on that ramp since the knew what was coming.


This is 100% false. His eyes should have been anywhere but the ramp at that moment since he had just planted those forcefields. Now is when he has to macro until he needs to place the second set. Staring at the ramp after FF it is bronze level play. You can sit there waiting you have to constantly be moving, that is why the nuke sound not playing is so critical.

It's basically impossible to spot something that you know isn't supposed to be there. Especially when you play at high speed.
