Excited. Predicting 3-1 for Liquid. I think Liquid has a stronger lineup but I don't doubt Catz's ability to pull an interesting strategy against Ret, maybe 1 base infestor. Sheth 2-0ed Cruncher last time So i think Sheth will beat him this time as well. I don't know much about Trimaster and my only experience with Hero is on his stream so I'm not to sure. If I had to guess, I would DEFINITELY say hero.

The guy doesn't like playing with cross-server lag. He also has Code S matches on the same day, as well the fact that he just travelled from US -> KR. He's gonna need as much rest as possible. There may also be other things at work, but this isn't the thread to discuss them.
I think 3-1 in Liquid's favour would be my prediction, with either Drewbie or CatZ grabbing a win. No offense to them, but I don't see either Trimaster or Cruncher winning their games.

proleague format is so much better, glad they are doing it like this.
Liquid seems to be in good shape as of late. Can't see them losing this in terms of player skill, but maybe coL can show us what they've been doing these past few weeks.

for the record huk didnt participate in gcpl season 1 either, he doesn't like dealing with x-server lag

Due to our rules in Season 2, there is mandatory server switching.
I.E. Game 1 on NA, Game 2 on KR, Game 3 on NA, Game 4 on KR.. etc.

Great to see GCPL back. Was for some reason under the impression that it was gone after EGMC emerged so I missed the first 2 matches.
Today should be fairly one-sided. Ret and Hero should win without a doubt and I consider tlo and sheth favorites (especially sheth) in their matches too. Would love to see an ace-match though (as long as it's not hero vs cruncher pvp which, come to think of it, is very likely).

This, basically he has Code S matches like an hour after this (unless it's off replays), so he'll already be at Mok Dong

look i know you're european, but drewbie's tvt is better than you think it is. granted, thats the only game i can see coL taking.

Also, what's Destiny's relationship with col.? Is he a member?
Destiny isn't part of any team, so no, and I would think that the Koreans couldn't participate because they technically aren't on the actual team I would guess.
That was nicely played by both players and good decision making all around. Nice to see Hero take down his first official game as a TL member. Congrats!
Good game there, I wasn't sure what to expect out of TriMaster as I haven't seen him playing versus protoss recently, but he really had an impressive game and congratulations to HerO!
On August 16 2011 11:22 Contagious wrote: whoa Hero won that? I missed the ending, but it wasn't looking good when I saw.
Basically Trimaster didn't have an answer to colossus. Hero got pushed back all the way to his base and the colossus popped at the last possible second to save his natural from dying a second time. The second colossus arrived and Hero pushed back. Thermal lance finished right when Hero got to Trimaster's natural and he had no Vikings and no answer for the ranged Colossi.

Liquid taking a 2-0 lead and then Drewbie bringing it back for Complexity.
Currently at 2-1, Liquid leading.
Yeah, I expected TLO to lose, but I think Sheth will win.
Yeah...
Cruncher, like a few other Protoss players, has been having trouble with Zerg recently and Sheth has always been considered somewhat of a ZvP specialist. Going to be quite difficult for him.
Not going to watch GCPL anymore. I make a comment that TLO is no longer inventive nor the best player around and the chat explodes into ad hominem attacks against me.
Mods delete my comments while allowing cussing towards me.
Sorry but TLO is no longer the most inventive player in the world, so stop with blind fanboyism EVEN when his build gets completely crushed.
Sad, because I really like wombat's casting, but I'm not going to derp around with powerabusive mods.

This is not JTV. Nor is this forum an emotional sounding board for your problems with JTV or GCPL mods.
Standard stargate follow up to fast 3rd; i hope sheth doesn't lose to this!

the hell uses stream chat? Grow a pair, it's just the internet.
And TLO hasn't been noteworthy since...gsl2? Kinda common knowledge
Sheth completely dominated that game. I'd say he has that passive turtley style of Cruncher figured out quite well. If Cruncher wants to compete against top Zergs he's going to need to mix in some different styles. Predictability is never good in a strategy game.

Hope you get banned from here too, noone cares about your arguments on whatever chat.
yeah... I knew TLO would fall to Drewbie's BEASTLY TvT... Guy was super close to taking a serious of MMA, and demolished his way to IPL ro8/idk but extremely high based solely off his TvT... Guy's a serious sniper...

What was the reason to decide to play in GCPL and not in EG master cup? It looks like TL still have a strong lineup outside of korea.

Likely the server-switching rules which let them field their whole roster if necessary.

There was various things that we've already discussed about the EG Master's V that I won't get into. If you really want the answers, I'll be happy to find you the thread with all the back and forth debate about our participations, but that being said, I'd like to explain to you why we're playing the GCPL.
GCPL Season 1 was a great success with great administration and people who acknowledged where to improve to become even better than they were. We were also directly invited to this team league and we were more than happy to say yes to this. :-)
hmmm it looks like both team tournaments have almost the same teams. Will check later the vods of GCPL. Still it sux that its BO1 and no winner stay format.
Congrats to Hero for winning his first official match for TL (it was, right?).

DongRaeGu and Genius will play under the col banner in international individual competitions, not team leagues. ddoro left the team for vile, so there's no Korean in the lineup for the team leagues.
They could've fielded Steak and Minigun but whether that would've actually increased their chances is questionable.
Last time I remember seeing Drewbie was in his vs Europe showmatch series made by SpecialEndrey, how could TLO lose against him? :o Will there be vods or replays released from this?

TLO is a bit out of shape lately. He barely bit Grubby in his last showmatch

Crap! Another Showmatch that I missed! I feel like I've been living under a rock lately... :o Anyways, I hope Dario will manage to improve his form until the next MLG!

In the announcement they said that the Korean players would be allowed to play for complexity in team leagues.
