There was no way choya could have protected his "expansion", it was just part of the deception. the dts are what makes it safe to expand lol. Yeah, but Toss still has the dirty units. DT's and Voidrays so dirty imo xd > ![]() If it doesn't come from a Gateway or Robo it's cheese, duh. Observers are cheese too, gateway units only Yeah sorry I play Zerg I don't know P too well.

It would have taken him at least 3 scans to get across the map and even more than that to kill the nexus... Totally impossible to save that many without getting behing. The DT's aren't free -- you trade 125/125 to make your opponent lose 270 minerals, which isn't exactly a favorable trade for Protoss. If you can get a marine kill on the way then maybe that tilts the balance into your favor, but you still had to build that expensive Dark Shrine in the first place, so it's probably still not worth it. DT's are only cost effective if you get free kills with them.

Jinro just played that wrong. Stop bashing Choya for something Jinro should have scouted/been prepared for. The reason why Choyas build sucks: Its fucking unsafe. He would've died to ANYTHING except for what jinro ended up doing. Choya just threw a dice and he got extremely lucky and won.

Yeah, it was flimsy. Jinro won the macro game convincingly and then Choya went for cheesy rushes two games in a row. If Jinro had a scan saved up or made an engineering bay he would have held it off and the game would have gone on. Not sure that a scan would've been enough in game 3... Choya just has to split DTs and Jinro is still screwed. Really needed an engineering bay there. Guess hindsight is always great but if you're in his shoes with no idea what's going on, a lot tougher call. If he had scanned the DT's as they were coming up his lower ramp he could have killed them. Granted that would take pretty amazing reaction time but still. He's not Idra (v. Incontrol) :p Sorry just had to say that. I don't want to start a Jinro v. Idra war.

If a Terran player isn't MULing properly and a good Gateway Timing push comes, they'll lose the game. You can say that Jinro lost because he was greedy or didn't scout enough, but what it comes down to is that Dark Templar are the stupidest thing in the game. They give free wins to Protoss players who don't deserve them, such as Choya over Jinro. Or how about Puzzle beating MMA. Puzzle would have lost first round were it not for the stupidity of a unit that instantly wins you the game (anybody who didn't watch those, basically Puzzle DT rushed two games in a row, MMA forgot Missile Turrets, and later in the game despite MMA microing far better and outplaying Puzzle, he was too far behind. Basic recap of those games: Game 1: Jinro plays far better than Choya and wins with great play and NUKES!!! Game 2: Choya abuses Metalopolis and wins because of a map imbalance and cheesy play. Game 3: Dark Templar. Only one of those games is worth watching, I bet you can all guess which one it is. Yes it was game 2, where Jinro got punished for trying to abuse his way into the next round.

don't know what he was thinking when he sent that scv up the ramp and only saw 1 stalker past 6 minutes. he was just really focused on macroing i guess. but at these levels you've gotta be expecting DTs.

Choya is on equal bases with good economy. He's down a bit in army supply but how exactly is Jinro going to waltz across a DT filled Plateau with no Raven in sight, not even a factory up, to attack. By the time the Raven is out the game is pretty much on even terms and Choya has storm on the way. Jinro's plan was to go with ghosts and emp any DTs it seemed like, but his academy timing was just off for the super fast DTs.

Guess hindsight is always great but if you're in his shoes with no idea what's going on, a lot tougher call. Cheesy rushes once, maybe, but a Voidray expand isn't cheese, and we see DT expands often and it's not an all-in (cheesy as it may be), if Terran kills the DTs Choya still is on equal bases and similar armies. DTs are actually a really good choice on that map. Usually the problem with DT expands is that you have no army; however, that map has a great natural that aids in defender's advantage. I don't know why people are criticizing Choya for the VR allin in game 2.. Jinro was fixing to do an allin as well.

It's a good opener, but if Jinro had built a single turret, choya would've been insanely much ahead. If he could've scanned when they came up his ramp he would've been fine aswell. Instead he decided to mule at 50 energy when he had no clue whatsoever what was happening. He even saw Choya's rightside pylon, which often is a indication of trying to hide tech. So strange to not get 1 turret either way, it's good vs Void rays, colossi (without range) and DT. Also good vs observers, so don't really see why it would be skipped...
