I think the appropriate response for any hidden base is to use a Void Ray opener, whether it be after you expand or not. The lack of creep connecting the bases makes it too hard for the Zerg player to defend (lack of Queen mobility).

Uh I find it amusing how many people are seemingly amazed by DRGs ability to take a gold base and run some lings around for what was literally a 6 minute game. Naniwa obviously had some keyboard issues and his 4gate pylon got spotted. That wasn't even remotely a real game.
