This year Ukrainian SC2 qualifiers consist of 7 regional LAN-tournaments and 2 online tournaments.
The winner of each LAN-tournament will get a spot (Kyiv gets 2 spots) to the National Finals.
Top 4 of each online tournament will get their spots.
A player can take part only in 1 tournament - LAN or online.
Registration is opened until the 11th of August.
1st round - August, 14 (each round means 2 cities, but the last one)

The National Finals - September, 10-11.
The Top2 of the National Finals will get 2 spots to the Grand Finals in Korea (and that's it, no prizes).

I hope they get more than 1 spot. That would be sad considering the amount of talent there. Maybe Kas can finally show his skill at a lan event...

Too bad you can only send 3 players at best, because Ukraine could easily send more.

Since there's no official statements, i have nothing to say about streams. But i've talked to NaVi'Hireling and he sad that he'll try to stream as many games as possible.

Since the official web-site of WCG Ukraine is now up, there are some rules changes.
So now there will be 2 online tounaments and 7 lan-tournaments.
On the 12th of August we'll get a list of all players.

Anyone familiar with the scene could give information who could upset here and qualify other than White-Ra,Dimaga,Kas and Strelok ?

Other notables I know are  Underdark,  Bly, UkraineStar and HappyZerG.
But to be honest, those are all a class or two below the big 4 from Ukraine, so if they don't eliminate each other, that Top 4 could be very likely.

Yesterday was the last day of registration to online-tournaments. We have 20 players for the 1st tournament and 19 plyayers for the 2nd one.
There're 3 notable players - Kas is at the 1st tournament, Dimaga and HappyZerg are at the 2nd one.
And there is also one more update - we have 2 spots to the GF.

I think Dimaga has a really good shot at taking WCG if he makes it. I also wish White-Ra does well ^^

I hope Ukraine will send his 3 best players and that Dimaga, WhiteRa, Strelok and Kas won't be matched against each other early in the tournament...

Ye, cant say i wasn't shocked when i saw that Germany has 3 spots and countries like Poland/Ukraine
have 1 spot and 2 spot respectively. I guess its all about connections

I hope DIMAGA / Kas get the spots and White-rA places 3rd, because I'm pretty sure TtSports would pay for White-rA or he would pay for himself (buying the 3rd spot). Was done in the past, can be done now I guess.

Its not about connections, its about money sponsors put into it. The WCG players can buy themselves a ticket and fly to Korea if they want to compete... Draco did it in WCG BW.
Edit: Also saying that Poland > Germany so clearly is wrong. We have a counterpart to every of your top players and I'm pretty sure we have the better "below the top" players ;-)

i think it is based on previous success in all the titles and germany is #1 in fifa and some other bad games

Seariously... To clarify EVERY country has 3 Spots given from WCG, it's up to the country if they use them (if not, they don't have enough money to pay the trips).

I didnt say Poland > Germany. I just think that Poland has soo many top players they surely deserve 3 spots, based on skill alone I know reality is not that simple (skill level = number of spots). AND besides I am not Polish

They have 3 spots... but they just don't use them (not enough money from sponsors) but the players can pay for themselves.

I hope they dont eliminate each other within 2 rounds. would be sad to have Kas vs Ra and Dimaga vs Strelok in the RO16 and Ra vs Dimaga in the RO8.
I am rooting for Dimaga and Ra, both are in a good shape recently. Wish all 4 could participate, would make the WCG more exciting.
