In general i think it's sacrificing production, tech and economy in favour of units. That's very vague, but it should be. There's varying degress of all in. Arguing over it is stupid.

It doesn't develop the game and I thought we were past that. I mean, yeah, well done, good build order and decent execution, but c'mon. . . Hopefully he has something else in his arsenal and won't continue to do them. I had to get my TL password from my email because your post sucks. Develope the game? How do macro games develope the game in a way that timing attacks don't? I mean, take an imaginary player who does nothing but 1 base timing all-ins. If he's succesful, wins tournaments etc. with them, is it bad? Bad for the game? Bad for the viewers? How? Some people might actually enjoy watching shorter, more action packed games. I for one wouldn't want to watch Losira macro up a 5 base ling/bling/infestor -> BL game, I'd rather work. And while at work, I really don't like working. But you know, your opinion must be the ultimate truth, sorry that I bothered.

Of course warping in units in opponents base isn't allin in itself.. It's like the defining power of the Protoss mechanics :S 2nd game was preeetty sick, defenitely gonna have to watch the VOD of that again - I recommend this game!

People call a lot of P attacks all-in because, well, they often are - the protoss army has a lot of trouble regaining army integrity if the ball is destroyed. This is why there are so damn many timing attacks, because if you're gonna commit, you need to hit hard.

Nah he would have just not attacked if it was scouted. Lots of people confuse an opportunity with a dead set plan. Can I sneak this pylon here? Oh I can? Ok go fucking kill him. Or wait it got spotted? Ok play game out till the next chance comes out.

Then it becomes a insane game of "Praying the zerg makes a mistake" ala MC vs Sen style. If you let a zerg sit there for 20 minutes and dont do any attacking at all, you already lost. So, "timing attacks" are REQUIRED to beat a zerg. This is flat out incorrect. People always use this defense of "omg, if you leave zerg alone, you can't play a macro game with them!!!" So untrue. If you have a solid, standard macro passive style you can play macro games without timing attacks against a Zerg.
